What are you reading?
Reading is one of the things I do when I have to stop being physically active or my EM will get worse. Of course I love to read comments from all of you, and the articles and research on the EM warriors site. I also want to give a shout out for a wonderful book called The Ladies Handbook of Her Mysterious Illness by Sarah Ramey (a memoir). I knew that she was "one of us" a member of the tribe with complex unrecognized diseases. She is funny, loving and fierce in her description of her confusion when trying to get a diagnosis, in facing docs who either looked puzzled, or disinterested or said, basically, "its all in your head". She allowed me to see how many of us there are and how lucky we are to have one of the essential elements of surviving and thriving: community and all that community provides when pain cascades and we feel alone. So, I'd love to know what you are reading; what helps? what makes you laugh? cry?
