Happy Lyme Disease Month!! Day 17

So true! I get so angry when I hear this stuff. Someone tried to correct me and say “actually it’s Lymes disease, get it right” and I just stood there dumbfounded like what am I supposed to say to that because this person doesn’t have to disease but apparently thinks she knows more about it than a person who does have it, aka me.

Happy Lyme Disease Month!! Day 7

Some symptoms of Lyme disease. This is just a few of many many symptoms. Don’t ignore your symptoms and don’t let doctors bully you into believe something not true!! I had to push for 30 minutes just to get tested for Lyme. Years ago, doctors just told me I had growing pains and wrote it off as nothing. It isn’t nothing. It is very serious. Spread the word, find the cure!!

Happy Lyme Disease Month!! Day 6

Some more facts about Lyme Disease. The only way to spread the word is to give facts and our own stories. I was diagnosed a little more than a year ago, but I’ve had Lyme for about 7-8 years and was infected twice. Doctors told me it was just growing pains, but I knew it wasn’t because growing pains are constant for 8 years. It started with just pain in my right knee, then I got infected again (we think) and it was in my right hip and my jaw and I also had neurological symptoms. My mom and I went to many doctors and counselors because she thought I had a personality disorder. We had to beg my doctor to test me for Lyme. She finally did and it can back positive. We went to a LLMD and she gave me a whole bunch of stuff to take. I’ve also been seeing a kinesiologist and she has been helping me get bacteria and toxins out of my body as well. I never saw a tick on me or a rash. This is just the shortened version of a very very long story, but it’s too long to post everything in one post. Spread the word, share your stories, find the cure!

Happy Lyme Disease Month!! Day 3

In my quest to spread awareness of Lyme Disease, I came across this funny yet upsetting picture. I find it funny because it’s true but upsetting for the same reason. Right after I was diagnosed, I was taking 15 pills in the morning along with 3 detoxes and probiotic powder, 3 pills at lunch time, and 11 pills at night. There are so many more people out there who have it worse than me, but I wanted to share that as I don’t have it as bad as other people, but I still had to take so much medication and I still do.
