Sunflowers in the mushroom bed #Mushrooms #Gardening

Our neighbors had a tree removed that used to provide a lot of shade for our wine cap mushroom bed. Squirrels and birds plant some of the black oil sunflower seeds I put out for them, and while I would normally pull the seedlings from the mushroom bed, I left them as an experiment to see how much shade they will offer. It may turn out to be the right amount for wine caps as they like to have some sun. The mushrooms usually fruit in the fall, so we’ll see. In the meantime, enjoying the beauty.

Psilocybin: Magic mushroom compound ‘promising’ for depression
Psilocybin, a psychedelic drug found in magic mushrooms, is as effective at reducing symptoms of depression as conventional treatment, a small, early-stage trial of 59 people has found.

But when it comes to actively improving people’s well-being and ability to feel pleasure, the psychedelic drug may have had a more powerful effect.

Those taking part in Imperial College London’s Centre for Psychedelic Research’s trial were given either psilocybin or a common antidepressant called a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).

Dr Carhart-Harris who led the trial, told BBC World News that although more research needs to be done, in the future psilocybin could be added to the toolkit clinicians use to treat depression.

The scientists involved in the trial have warned against people trying to self-medicate.

Anybody tried mushrooms?

For their migraines or mental illness? I'm not into drugs but I'm getting desperate after trying so many things and I've been reading a lot of studies on how they are beneficial and helping people. Thoughts?

Anybody try #LSD ? #Mushrooms ?#Alucinogens

I’ve been seriously contemplating trying them out as I read a study that it’s almost a reset button for anxiety and depression and I’d like to read more about anyone here who has anything to say. Spare me all the “it’ll fry your brain” or “don’t try it unless a doctor prescribes it” I just was wondering if you felt a before and after

Shrooms / Acid #Acid #Mushrooms #Depression

With the studies going on about shrooms and acid micro dosing, what are people’s opinions on pros and cons. How will this affect people with addictions? Old school drug text label these drugs as bad. It’s time to break the stigma? How will this affects a persons sobriety terms? I’m a recovering alcohol and pill abuser and have turned to more holistic and natural forms of healing. I think shrooms and acid could be used correctly to help. Moderation is key I believe when it comes to the topic of addiction. Self control.
