Chadwick Boseman
Such a shock to read of his passing last night. Was able to catch the last half of "Get On Up" on HBO last night. I had only watched it once before but I paid particular attention to how he embodied James Brown and his signature moves. Was not surprised that he kept his diagnosis a secret but was saddened that he felt he had to or he would've been thought of as "less than" IMO Am also disappointed that I was unable to inform some of his passing mainly because of MY conditions and/or my situation, I have been written off by a few ex-"friends". Read a couple tweets that said one should not be so quick to pass over a person because you never know what they may be going through....but if they keep it to themselves, it is MORE important to pay attention and not dismiss or abandon them. I have gotten a little of that on social media and I HATE it. I had a sister who passed from Hodgkin's and I myself have lupus and RA....but I have NEVER asked for pity only for the opportunity to connect with others who share the same interests or may have the same conditions. A crying shame that this is STILL the only place I can go for some real understanding or support....
