Does anyone else absolutely HATE sorting their medications out into pill boxes for the week?
There is absolutely NOTHING that I hate doing more than having to pop out all of my pills to put in my twice-daily dispensers for the following week.
NOT including Paracetamol and Naproxen, I take 280 tablets A WEEK. 40 tablets A DAY.
They control;
My heart rate.
My blood pressure.
My allergies.
My blood sugar.
My anaemia.
My nausea.
My depression.
And... How much I pee.
I also take a low dose antibiotic every day. And the rest are various forms of painkillers. Antispasmodics, nerve pain relievers, anti inflammatories, migraine relievers... And others I really can’t be bothered to name.
It’s a lot. And I hate it. But these are what keep my body functioning semi-normally on a day to day basis. I hate this laborious task.
There’s something else that I’ve come to hate even more. And that’s when asshole drug companies waste so much packaging on a few small pills. Is this REALLY necessary? I’m just thankful that the pharmacy I use regularly is now recycling empty medication strips.
