This Bed, Incontinence, and Fat Me

This motel bed is worn out from my fat body and the limited space I have on it. I sit up on the bed, and my abdomen sits over my legs, and it causes my right thigh a lot of discomfort. I can't find a position that works except leaning back and to the left, but then I have my phone too close to my eyes (and most positions I sit in, I fall into leaning forward, so the phone's too close to my eyes even then. Leaning back doesn't always help, either.

The bed I'd sunk in, and the times I've wet the bed (yes, I use bed pads, but when I've emptied my full bladder, it's not enough, plus my boyfriend only gets the cheapest bed pads and underwear, and they don't even carry my size in any brand in the stores.

Yes, I *am* trying to lose weight, but I'm limited as to what I can eat, and when I stay at the motel instead of going out, like I did today (because I'm sick), I have to rely on what my boyfriend's willing to get me. I only eat one meal a day, and a bag of chocolates as a snack. It's terrible, I know, but it's hard to find healthy snacks you don't have to refrigerate, especially if you crave sweets.

I'm getting drowsy again, so I'm going to stop here.

Embarrassed about Bladder and Bowel Incontinence #UrinaryIncontinence #Autism

I'm 28 and have had my shunt since I was 18 months old. I got hydrocephalus from a brain bleed I had from being born 3 months premature.

I was just diagnosed with Autism in May 2019, along with Tourettes Syndrome, after getting written up at work for making my repetitive noise-making and phrases. It was my first job out of college, but I also had trouble with my learning disabilities, focus, and memory issues that made it hard for me to keep the job.

I signed up for vocational rehabilitation to help me find a job. It took a few months, but they referred me to Goodwill. However, last year I had to sign another contact with Vocational Rehabilitation as they agreed it was taking a long time for me to get a job through Goodwill and that I needed to look for other type of jobs than ones that fit my IT/Computer degree. (which I have no idea about what jobs to look for) it's almost like both the state vocational rehabilitation group and Goodwill have quotas to meet where they have to find someone a job in a certain amount of time. But I feel like the pandemic wasted my time at Goodwill by slowing the economy and job market.

Anyway, I had a brain bleed from being born premature and have had a shunt to drain fluid from my brain for hydrocephalus.

I am very embarrassed to bring this up, but I also have issues with bedwetting for which I have to wear Northshore Supreme diapers at night. I also have problems with my brain not getting the signal to go to the bathroom until it's too late. I'm very embarrassed to mention this, but I have to wear something called GoodNites pull ups during days when my mind is "busy" or I'm in a place where I can't get to the bathroom easily. (setting timers helps, but I still have accidents if I'm in a busy situation.) I have accidents with my bladder and sometimes my bowels. I'm hoping no one will make fun of me for this.

I join these groups because I want

to share my story and hear from others who have similar experiences to me.

Does anyone else in this group have hydrocephalus, incontinence, social cue issues, learning disabilities, or had a brain bleed as a preemie like me? I feel like I'm alone, and the only one who has these issues some days.

I would appreciate any comments or advice and am grateful to have found these groups to help me. Thank you.

My daughter is 10 and struggles with urinary incontinence. What is the most discreet product for a 65 - 70 lb girl that can absorb a large amount?
