Keeping positive (dream job)

Hi there, so I was hoping for some advice. I've always wanted to join the RAF however since being diagnosed with Crohn's disease I sort of accepted it wouldn't happen for a while. However a few months ago a career advisor set me up with an RAF recruitment meeting and I've got it back in my head again. I asked if Crohn's would be an instant rejection and I was told they couldn't tell me because of it being case by case so would have to wait for medical assessment. I'm thinking of going for it because I've put so much effort to getting fit enough for the tests and after all the worst they can say is no. But I was wondering if anyone on here has been in theRAF or any other forces with Crohn's and how they handled it, as well as any other advice going forward.
Also if anyone has had their illness prevent them from their dream job how can I get over it?
Thank you 💜
