Aripiprazole

I’ve been on this medication for almost a month or so now. Started with 5mg and now at 10mg. I experienced the most common side effects which are insomnia and constipation.

When I got to 10mg, things started to get weird. I used to love working and sometimes feel lazy from time to time, but lately it scares the hell out of me.

It feels as if I can’t do it right when I am actually doing everything right.

It feels like I’ll commit mistakes anytime and new tasks scare me as if I wasn’t doing them for 12 years.

I also don’t feel safe in my work area (wfh). So I go to bed and sleep or just stay there.

My anxiety is also bad recently.

I don’t know what’s wrong, is this delusion?

So I have recently been diagnosed and I'm about to start meds as soon as possible. Because of my age only a very small number of antipsychotics are licensed for my use, therefore I'm going to on either aripiprazole (abilify) or quetiepine (seroquel). I know there is a difference in the side effects, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with either of these two or just being in antipsychotics, preferably atypical, in there adolescence. Apologies for any spelling mistakes and any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks xx

It makes me extremely exhausted throughout the day, but then I am completely restless at night. I wake up every couple hours, then by morning I feel like I pulled an all-nighter.... which makes me more tired the next day.
