doe anyone have experience with assistance dogs?

Hey everyone, I’ve been considering applying for a service/assistance dog, but I am just very unaware of anyone who has one, or knows someone with one that could tell me anything about it? Its just such a big decision I’d like all information possible so I make the right decision 😬😊 #assistancedog #ServiceDogs #MobilityAids #Decisions #Fibromyalgia #BenignHypermobilityJointSyndrome #Dysautonomia #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis #Depression #Anxiety #PanicDisorder

Assistance dog trainer

Has anyone used a professional assistance dog trainer in the Tri-State Area (within an hour of Philadelphia) that they can recommend? We were working with Libby Rockaway but she just moved out of the country (and she specializes in DADs and we need a mobility/dysautonomia assistance dog).
We already have the dog - we just need the trainer. #assistancedog #RareDiseases #Dysautonomia #Fmf #FamilialMediterraneanFever #MobilityAssistanceDog

Assistance dog for mental health

Who has an assistance dog for their mental health?
I’m currently researching my options - breeder? Adoption?
The process. The organisation to go through. The fees.
And the to puppy school? Trainers in my local area? More costs.
I believe I can afford the every day costs of a dog, but the initial purchase and training is throwing me......

How do those with #AutismSpectrumDisorder and #highfunctioningautism cope with going to university and having a job?

My #assistancedog has jad a few obstacles in her training and is taking longer then expected to fully train her. So I will have to start university and a job without her by my side every second and am wondering how I will cope. So im looking for any advice people can give and if you have #AutismSpectrumDisorder , how you have delt with these things (e.g. sensory overload, anxity etc. That comes along with it)
