Time heals they say. The loss of our dear friend Brandy in the spring of 2023 has been difficult to move on from. There is something in our home that is missing, there is a piece missing that is needed to complete our home. Brandy was an important part of our family, that we could never replace.

It's been a while since I've been on here. I just recently achieved one of my biggest goals - rescuing a #dog from a shelter! He's a 9 year old Akita/Shiba mix, and I'm looking forward to giving him a great life in his twilight years. My mental health has never been better, and I've never been as stable. Haven't had a night where I've been kept up by #PTSD memories of college in a while.

We’ve been petsitting a dog for like 2 months. I’ve just been around him yesterday. I always see him everyday. He’s 2 years old and a Chow Chow, if that helps. I was close to him yesterday and just petted him yesterday and it was fine. Sometimes, he’d walk up to me to say hi, and it was fine.
This month, he has bit me twice (nothing serious, just a scratch) once when I was walking up to him just to say hi (and I usually do that until he bit me one time), and once when I was trying to move around him. When I was walking up to him this morning (it wasn’t even going to be that close because I was being cautious), he started running up to me aggressively as if he was going to bite me. He did this another time this month, too.
This has only happened to me. Well, he acted aggressive towards my mother once, but most have happened to me. Do dogs just not want to like certain individuals?? Was he just in a bad mood?? Why does he not like me??
And of course, because I’m autistic, it makes me sad and even scared, especially since my sister (the main petsitter) is moving and getting married meaning the dog is likely to stay a few more months until they move. I know I shouldn’t take it personally and that he’s just a dog, but this has only happened to me and the fourth time he’s been aggressive with me when we see each other literally everyday. I’m so confused and so is everyone else.

Update on our Little Coco .....
So after how bad she'd been treated and the way she was completely neglected and unwell ,she is now getting so much better each day , she's using the puppy pads every day had no accidents , is sleeping through the night in her own bed ,she's starting to get more playful and seems to be really settled and comfortable with us .She's such a loving Little lady and just loves being all snuggled up ♥️so glad she's getting better and seems a happy little pup now so far already its such an improvement on the way she was when we got her.

I am his emotional support human 💛. He has a very tough life what with being stuck with us, his insubordinate servants, Jeeves 1 & 2. Here I am giving him some cuddles because he decided he desired dinner 2 hours before serving time.
Being a pug bichon mix, it is an additional burden for him that we do not keep him in the style he desires… that of the lavish life as it was at Versailles!
Marie Pugtoinette borks “let me eat foie gras cake” at us daily, yet we continue to disappoint.
