My best friend Magnus got to see the swimhole today and get his paws wet for the first time. We walked all over the small park first and then went to the small river it's barely moving for obvious reasons. Well he loves the water he started running around in circles bouncing around just having a good time. It's the end of the season of course but these flowers don't know. We decided to hold off on more plants but it's funny how unintentional beauty can show up in a crack in the cement makes us wonder how we can find beauty in almost all things. This is the kind of natural distraction that gives me joy. We should have a nature picture week on this forum would be fun. Growing up with anxiety that would make me sick.. to being told it’s normal and just try harder over and over again throughout life when I was giving my all.. only to find out I’m Autstic, have adhd, & Dyscalculia. All unsupported my entire life. No wonder I’m always depressed lol Years ago I was diagnosed with Cptsd and even though it explained things I still couldn’t understand why. This is why. It’s all connected. Even though I’ve aged out of paid services.. im going to keep trying to move forward. The moment I've been waiting for is here my Cactus has bloomed in the night. These little stoic San Pedro plants are a testament to nature's perseverance with barely any water they bloom every seven years I have propogated them to about six plants. I'm getting excited this year looks like my San Pedro Cactus (aka Moon Cactus) will be bringing several beautiful blooms this year. This is stage two where the wiry white ball starts protruding the shell for the flower it's almost ore historic looking. The elasticity of the human brain is really put to the test when you have a chronic illness with no cure or treatment. The first couple of years i was handling it but that goes up and down you are being put through the test as all this pain and immobility takes down your spirit. You learn to accept your limitations and you move on until the next symptom comes up. Im just tired of playing the mind game of fending off the obvious like it's going to be ok when you know its not.

Just a snap shot of the San Pedro cactus blooms over the years. Its almost prehistoric looking as you can see the bloom pod grow has protecting scales before they bloom. Starts off as a small nub with hair in it on the side or top of the cactus.
