Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is caused when a mother drinks while she is pregnant. Then the severity of this syndrome depends on how much alcohol the baby received in his or her mother's tummy before they were born. On the other hand, some symptoms and treatments of this syndrome include small head and brain size, heart defects, joint problems, learning disabilities, and ADHD, Early Intervention Services, possibly medications, monitoring for growth and development, and education and support for parents. Last but not least, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is often diagnosed by conducting a physical exam and going over medical history.

I'm new here!

Hi, my name is Jessi. I'm here because I am in college for my junior year. I have lived and grown up with special needs including Bipolar Disorder and Aspergers and ADHD (Audhd). I have been stable on medication for over 12 years and am wanting to finally go back to college. I suffer every day with Anxiety as well as a lot of struggles with trying to function as a disabled student. My goal is to become a mental health counselor for children with special needs and learning disabilities. I want to become a help to kids like my counselors were for me. I want to save a child's life and end up doing foster care and have kids with autism and down syndrome, and other kids that "nobody wants". I want to save kids and become a support system for them.

Stimming

Stimming can be funny sometimes. I do a lot of verbal stimming. So a few times a day I'll sing the corn song from tiktok "It's corn! A big lump with knobs. It has the juice! (It has the juice) I can't imagine a more beautiful thing. It's corn! I can tell you all about it! I mean, look at this thing! When I tried it with butter, everything changed!" My spouse always laughs and now often joins me for this one. I'll also randomly say "woohoo!" (I play a lot of Mario Kart) And I hum one of the Pokémon route songs from the older games (can't remember which) What is one way you notice yourself stimming or what are some funny stims you have?
