Shout out to #Tennessee

Sending all the Mighties in Tennessee affected by the tornados all the love and healing they need to get through this tough time. Natural disasters such as this may cause intense flare ups due to weather changes, anxiety, and activities associated with handling the event. We WILL endure this! #TogetherWeAreMighty #ChronicIllness #ChronicPain

To the one who will change so much, thank you.

Today, Thanksgiving and what it means was all across the USA. Many have noted that they're thankful for their jobs, family, resources, beliefs, etc. I'm beyond thankful for these as well, but I have a few others to add. I'm thankful for my entire team of doctors, nurses, and also the ones that I've yet to meet as well as the ones that will guide me in the future. I'm eextremely grateful for this community. We question, explore, laugh, cry, and strive together. None of us are perfect, especially not me. I'm 17. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and I've had several years of surgeries, therapy, and doctors appointments. Many times, doctors are puzzled with what do so we begin a new journey with each new symptom. Many cases have led to the operations as well as medications. All this time without answers has also led to depression and anxiety. Because of this, I often find it hard to be grateful for the life I have. This afternoon was different. I opened down and saw hope as I opened my notifications. The Ehlers Danlos Society was given $1 million in US currency. This money was given by an anonymous giver for research purposes. The funding for this research can bring better treatments and testing, can help us better understand our genetics, find the mutations, help us live a better life, etc. This is a gift to everyone with EDS or its related conditions. Whoever did this has brought hope for many of us. The final thing I'm thankful for today is the love, support, and guidance that this person has given to me, this community, the EDS Society, and future generations.

Gratitude #grateful

What are you grateful for today? Genuinely grateful for.

For me:
1. The weather today
2. My drive to heal
3. The Mighty Community

🎉🎉Happy New Year Mighties! 🎉🎉

I wish peace for your mind and soul. I wish strength for you to get through each day. I wish you wisdom to know who cares (your tribe does) and who’s blowing smoke. I wish for you to feel loved even if it’s only in here with us. #TogetherWeAreMighty 🖤
