Gratitude #Depression #Anxiety #Gratitude #Thanksgiving #Hope #Relationships #PTSD #MentalHealth

This week there was a major car accident involving a school bus. Some of the injured children had limbs amputated. It impacted me greatly as I recalled how in November how I was 8 hours away from having my leg amputated.

My leg has significant scars but I still have it and it still functions. The hospital that misdiagnosed my leg is still investigating how they could have got it so wrong. Instead of anger at their error I am striving to be grateful for the doctors that got it right and saved my leg and my life.

What are you grateful for today?

I am spending the Thanksgiving holiday with my in-laws, half way across the country. With my anxiety and depression and two autistic & ADHD sons this is really hard on me. My father-in-law passed away today. Now I have a grieving husband to tend to as well. #Thanksgiving #Anxiety #Autism #ADHD #Depression

The day Barney the Dinosaur died.

#BarneyShow was a show I never watched as a kid, but would make fun of with my friends. In the spirit of #Thanksgiving time, I found this too funny to not share. This is the story of how Barney died. LOL

This was a YouTube clip I found online, and I snapped a photo of it. It made me laugh. If you get a chance to see the high winds and know why on a windy day they keep them really low, or not have them at all? This is why.

With Thanksgiving Day coming in just a few short weeks, what ways do you keep yourself motivated in managing type 2 diabetes?

For example:

🍗 How do you navigate Thanksgiving with diabetes?

🍗 Do you create alternatives of some of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes that you no longer eat?

🍗 How do you prepare for Thanksgiving as a person with diabetes?

🍗 How do you handle situations with friends or family members that ask you about your conditions, give you unwanted advice and/or make negative comments during this time of year?

No worker showed up!!! Today isn't a #Holidays

This is Friday and isn't a hoilday. Kids went to school and stores were open. #monday is #Thanksgiving in #Canada So my 2 days shouldn't effect me. But nope the group home takes the time off. They don't even to bother to call or message you to let you know. Not good. They just do whatever they want.

I think #Summer is gone now. It feels #Falls today.#TheMighty #MightyTogether

Not a relaxing thanksgiving #Thanksgiving

I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own home. My mother in law comes over and takes over my kitchen. I try to help but it’s seems like I’m annoying her. She can be sarcastic and, self deprecating . She asks me odd questions about race, which I then have to be an ambassador for black people. This makes me so uncomfortable. I started drinking in the morning to numb myself , when that didn’t work I took a few Xanax. I was hoping to pass out. #Holiday #Stress #Family #Motherinlaw
