    You Are Strong

"Treat yourself with kindness today. Allow yourself grace through the toughest moment. Remember that emotions don’t make you weak, especially the ones that weigh heavy on your heart.

You are worthy of love and acceptance. No one can take away your strength. No one can strip you of your worth.

    I love you."

    What are your hydration habits?

Let’s talk water. How much do you drink? Do you constantly feel dehydrated? (You’re not alone, one stat claims that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.)

If it’s a really big struggle for you to increase your H2O intake, what makes it hard?

If you’re normally well hydrated, any tips or tricks for how you do it? (Mighty staffer Kat drinks 2-3x the amount of the water if there’s a straw involved!)

What tips do you have for others who want to get better at asking for help?

As we reflect on our week focused on asking for help, let’s take some time to share some of our tried and true tips with our fellow Mighties. What’s helped you get better at asking for help? Here’s some advice from Mighty staffers:

🎙️ “Practice what you want/need to say in the mirror or script the conversation, that way you know exactly what you want to ask in case you get nervous.”

⏰ “Something I’ve done in the past is take advantage of the next time someone says, ‘Let me know if you need anything!’ I tend to respond, ‘I don’t need help right now. But I AM going to take you up on that soon because I know I’m going to need it.’ That makes me feel like permission was given to ask in the future so I don’t feel as self-conscious as I normally do.”

💕 “I make note of how good it feels for me when people who I know don’t like to ask for help (finally!) ask and allow themselves to receive it. I like helping, they want or need help, it’s a win-win. And I try to remind myself that my loved ones want that win-win when I want or need help too. That they don’t like seeing me refuse help any more than I like seeing them refuse help.”

😃 “Often my mental health tells me I am underserving of help so it’s important I find a way to convince myself why I am. That often looks like reframing negative thoughts, which of course is much easier said then done, into something more productive.”
