A peek of sunshine #Glimmers
This little pop of sunshine through the trees brought me so much joy last night! It had just finished raining and the sun came out for just a few minutes before it got dark. It was lovely!

A focus in this group is catching glimmers in your everyday life.
As you may know by now, a glimmer is the opposite of trigger.
It's a moment with joy, calm, beauty, gratitude, warmth, or some other positive emotion.
Here is a picture with some really good examples:
- Listening to your favorite music
- Rewarding yourself
- Talking with a friend
- Words of encouragement
- When you feel a rush of calm
- Glimpses of gratitude
- Time spent in habits that recharge you
- Unexpected moments of happiness
- Small accomplishments.
I really like the example mentioning habits.
I think it's so important to know you can help yourself cultivate glimmers in your own everyday life.

I haven’t been up to much lately but I have been able to read and that’s amazing because I always get distracted! Reading the Gita allows me to see how similar Hinduism and Buddhism are and I see even connections to my previous beliefs- in Christianity. The poetry is beautiful and one of the major themes- the soul- is timeless. I am grateful to be reading something useful these days and also grateful I got a haircut this week. #Glimmers #Gratitude #gratitudeandglimmers #PTSD
I am so grateful for my fur babies who seem to always know when I need some extra love ❤️ #Glimmers #grateful #MorningStruggles #Lupus #Depression #Loneliness
Saw this graphic on what glimmers are.
And i thought it was really great.
Glimmers:
✨️Are the opposite of triggers
✨️Can boost our mental health
✨️Help us feel grounded and present
✨️Are often free
✨️Are micromoments in your day that bring joy and soothings
✨️Are cues to our nervous system that we are safe
✨️And noticing them can reshape our nervous system
They have such positive power.
And I just thought, I would kindly remind you all of their importance and power as we start a new week.
Let's see if we can create and notice some glimmers this week - I surely hope you experience a lot of them!
