Switching Antipsychotics: Quetiapine to Olanzapine #BipolarDisorder #Quetiapine #Olanzapine #PsychiatricMedication

I’m currently on 750mg per day of Quetiapine (250mg morning and 500mg night). It’s not shifting my mania that I have been experiencing since before Christmas. On Monday I start the cross-titration to Olanzapine.

Has anyone got any experience with changing antipsychotics?

Has anyone got any experience with taking Olanzapine?

#weightmanagement on #MoodStabilizers or #Antipsychotics

Has anyone successfully maintained a healthy weight while on medications such as #Zyprexa #Olanzapine ? I was on it for a while and kept gaining weight. So, I tried other mood stabilizers and antipsychotics and had other issues with them. I read that some people gain such significant weight that they become diabetic and need to take Metformin. Has anyone been on olanzapine long term and managed to stay physically healthy? If so, how did you do it? Exercise? Mindful eating? Other? I am not used to the feeling of never being full and wanting to eat so much, especially in the evening.

Have Sertraline (Zoloft) and Olanzapine (Zyprexa) worked for you?

I've been put on 2.0.0.5 MG of Olanzapine and 100MG of Sertraline as my doctor thinks my state is pretty critical. I was having suicidal thoughts after I have to end my relationship with my FP due to his abuse toward me and it hurt me so much I couldn't eat and I wanted to die. My doctor also said that she didn't want to hospitalise me. She says she has worked with borderlines for over 30 years and she's found that borderlines get worse after hospitalisation. #Sertraline #Zoloft #BPD #BPDDiagnosis #Critical #Olanzapine #moodstabilizer

Hello to all! My question is have you experienced with Zyprexa (Olanzapine) withdrawal? What were the effects and did you quit cold turkey? #Zyprexa

#BipolarDiorder #Zyprexa #Olanzapine_withdrawal I have bipolar disorder. I was diagnosed three years ago when I had a pychotic episode and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. My treatment consisted of Orfiril Long, Olanzapine (Zyprexa), Cypralex and sometimes Anxiar. As I was getting better my treatment dimished and till last week I was only on 2.5 mg Olanzapine. My psychiatrist told me that the treatment with Olanzpine is for 3 years or 5 years, and told me it is time to see how I am doing without it. I hope you can help me with some to do things when off the treatment.

A pill

A pill to wake up, a pill to go to sleep, a pill to smile, a pill to eat.
Feeling sad for living a life with a pill for everything.
Sad because I have to rely on medications in order to function . And even though I follow the pill schedule, I am never 100% Okay. Expecting a miracle that maybe someday I won’t need drugs, maybe one day my neurotransmitters will be in balance. A girl can only hope. #BipolarDisorder #Depression #Anxiety #Olanzapine #BorderlinePersonalityDisorder
