Companies used emails, #SMS, and adverts to reach out to their clients before WhatsApp opened up to businesses.
But that’s all in the past now. Traditional channels are no match for WhatsApp, with declining funnels and open rates.
One of the new features introduced by WhatsApp was WhatsApp Business Notification.
It’s nothing more than a WhatsApp push notification. Businesses can send notifications under certain conditions, according to WhatsApp guidelines.
Customers can receive reminders, account updates, and other alerts from businesses.
What are WhatsApp Business Templates?
WhatsApp Business templates are the message formats that a company can send to a user after they have opted in.
WhatsApp currently offers 250 different templates.
In 24-48 hours, WhatsApp reviews the template and all supporting documentation given by the company.
You can use it to send business messages/notifications to customers once it has been approved.
1. Designing WhatsApp Business Templates Curly brackets are used to insert placeholders and replace dynamic material in template messages.
For the same, there are a few guidelines to follow:
Lower case letters alphanumeric letters and underscores (_) should be used in the message template’s name.
There is no space or other characters permitted.
Text, media, pdf, doc, and emoticons, as well as parameter placeholders, can be used to fill up the message.
No newlines, tabs, or more than four consecutive spaces are allowed.
Translations: Business translations are permitted.
2. WhatsApp Messages That Aren’t Templated
If a WhatsApp user or a customer sends you a message, it might be a response to one of your outbound messages or the start of a conversation about a certain topic.
WhatsApp has a “24-hour window,” also known as a “24-hour session,” in which you can send messages to a person without using any templates.
The communications must include a template after the 24-hour session.
