Body scan - self awareness

Have any of you tried doing a 'body scan'?
I recently tried it via my A Smiling Mind app
I found it worked well for me as a winddown at night.
Weekly goal: aim to do at least 10 minutes once a night, I shall see how I go...

Often I listen to free guided meditation on you tube for help coping with pain and anxiety. It doesn’t completely alleviate pain but the distraction, mindfulness along with guided imagery does help if you are open minded enough to try . Here’s one of my many favorites youtu.be/eeOyyhSQ9o4
