Enbrel or Lyrica; What's your experience?

Hello if you're reading this heyyy and thank you! I am asking what your experience is with taking Enbrel or Lyrica specifically for joint and nerve pain?? And what symptoms do they seem to help with/ what have you notice good and "bad"?

I ask because I have some persistent symptoms and am finally open to trying almost anything so I can function with my day to day, specifically with taking care of my 2 y/o son. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2013, and newly Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder which I suspected for some time. I've recently noticed more stiffness in my hands along with a rash, rough flaky dry skin and more stiffness there. Stiffness and tenderness in my spine, more nerve pain all over but burning and intense in my legs making it difficult to stand or be on my feet. Anyhow thank you for reading, peace & blessings! #Fibromyalgia #HSD #hypermobilty #EhlersDanlosSyndrome #Lyrica #Enbrel

    #Fibromyalgia #Lyrica # Hallucinations

    Hey Mighty Fam,

Been on Lyrica 75mg Bid and have been on Cymbalta in the past. I have been experiencing visual hallucinations off and on for about a week. I have contacted my PCP to see what the next step should be. Anyone else experiencing hallucinations with Lyrica or is this Fibromyalgia related 🤔
    Thanks!

I recently started taking Lyrica and am having weird side effects. Kinda like an out of body experience? Has anyone had a similar side effect?

Impossible to loose weight and on meds. What helped you?

Have you ever gained weight on meds and have you managed to loose it again? I experienced weightgain of about 8kgs on Lyrica and TNF inhibitors. Especially around my waist (I no longer have a waist...) so my bodyshape is completely changed Impossible to shred off. Calorie intake is low and I have a healthy dier.

I knew it was a sideeffect of both drugs, but the benefits as improved movement, less pain and more sleep is actually worth it. I do wish to return back to my old clothes..so, anyone with any good tips for how to manage this? Go vegan? #RheumatoidArthritis #AnkylosingSpondylitis #Lyrica #Enbrel #ChronicPain #Polyneuropathy

The bad days seem worse when I have less of them...

I guess it's normal to feel this way. I've been taken medications and doing things to help myself feel as good as I can. For me, good means not being in (much) pain, not being overly sleepy, and not having any/much depressive/anxious feelings. I'd say 4-5 out of 7 days a week since I got settled in my current meds for #Narcolepsy , #fibromaylgia and #Bipolar2Disorder are "good" or "ok" days. But those other 2-3 days are heavy.

Today was rough. I ran out of ritalin and won't have any till Monday at best. So I was in and out of naps all day. I want to be awake. But my eyes, my body wouldn't let me. I took my #Lyrica late and have also run out of #cymbalta so I was slow and achey all day. I took my #Latuda but since I feel so physically bad, I think #Depression is kicking in as a result.

My doctor doesn't know why my vision is suddenly so blurry. I'm worried.

I pushed myself too hard. Did some heavy cleaning despite the pain and I REALLY need to learn how not to do that. I'm regretting it heavily now. I'm hurting a lot. I hope I can sleep.

I still don't have a medicine for anxiety specifically. I'm frustrated.

It's just been an * a lot" day...

Has anyone taken Lyrica for GAD? I’ve just been prescribed 75mg x2 a day to begin with. I’m just wondering if anyone has had a positive/negative experience from it? I always get nervous when taking new meds so like to hear from people who have tried them.

I’ve read weight gain is a common side effect, did you gain a lot of weight?

Anybody have muscle spasms with Lyrica?

Ive been on Lyrica for about 3 months now and it’s been great for my pain, but I get muscle spasms all day. It is not necessarily painful but it is uncomfortable and just annoying. Did anybody else have this happen? #Fibromyaliga #RheumatoidArthritis #Lyrica

Have you experienced good effect from Lyrica? #Lyrica #ChronicPain #Fibromyaliga #RheumatoidArthritis

What is your experience with Lyrica? If it works for you please share, since I see a lot of negative comments on this treatment. I'm starting up now and it's always good to hear what other people experience.

    #Bipolar2Disorder

my doc wants me to increase Lamictal and Seroquel. I am on 150 of Lamictal and 75 of Seroquel and 250 of Lyrica for Fibro. He said I could try removing Lyrica to see if addressing the BP more proactively might help w Fibromyalgia. I am obviously at home w my family and cats and strangely not stressed out. Do you think it’s a good time to try? I am experiencing some pain but it’s not too bad. I know Lyrica has some withdrawal issues (for the love of God no scary stories) and he said to remove 50 mg morning dose and see how it goes but he couldn’t predict anything positive or negative although he thought I’d be fine bc of the other increases. Any thoughts on timing or legit plan?

    lyrica switch to generic

My pharmacy switched me to the generic version of Lyrica back at the end of January and a couple weeks later I started experiencing horrible pain from fallen arches. I was prescribed a long course of prednisone but after three weeks the pain and inflammation in my feet has improved, but my hip and back (which are awful areas for me) are really trying to flare up. I’m trying to go off the steroids but my psoas is raging, even two days out from physical therapy. It’s starting to get in the way of walking and swimming, and I coach and swim competitively. Has anyone experienced issues switching to the generic of Lyrica that has come out this year— Pregabalin— or should I just watch the steroids and not worry about the new medication? BTW, I had terrible depression almost immediately taking Gabapentin; I can’t touch the stuff. TIA.
