Working out with CRPS

Hi everyone!
I’m new here and was wondering how many of you have found safe and productive ways to workout with your #ChronicIllness ? I have #ComplexRegionalPainSyndrome in all 4 limbs but love working out, it helps with my #Depression and self image. The #CRPS is a new diagnosis I was previously diagnosed with #Polyneuropathy and have had it for 13years. I’m guessing the responses (if any) I’ll get are walking, yoga & using light weights but just looking for more resources… I have another Dexascan tomorrow and I’ll find out if my osteopenia has turned into osteoporosis (I’m 37) so it may be best to look into workouts for people with that so I don’t hurt myself more. 🤦🏻‍♀️😬

Impossible to loose weight and on meds. What helped you?

Have you ever gained weight on meds and have you managed to loose it again? I experienced weightgain of about 8kgs on Lyrica and TNF inhibitors. Especially around my waist (I no longer have a waist...) so my bodyshape is completely changed Impossible to shred off. Calorie intake is low and I have a healthy dier.

I knew it was a sideeffect of both drugs, but the benefits as improved movement, less pain and more sleep is actually worth it. I do wish to return back to my old clothes..so, anyone with any good tips for how to manage this? Go vegan? #RheumatoidArthritis #AnkylosingSpondylitis #Lyrica #Enbrel #ChronicPain #Polyneuropathy

Loosing it tonite ##Selfharm #Suicide

I'm in another manic state tonite, my gf turned on me out of no where, I am there for her as best asI can after her dad passed away in her arms several weeks back, but snapping at me the way she did sent me spiraling out of control. I'm at the point where I want to tear my skin off and escape from this body ! One problem I face is I'm a body piercing artist, so I can sit for hours shoving very large gauge needles thru my body, I know where it hurts the worst, and I get that sick "thrill" when I finally pull them out, to watch my blood pour from my body. I'm writing this in hopes it will keep me from doing it, cause you all would know bout it & I would feel bad & ashamed. . .. .. . . I tell her over & over & over again to join this "app" and get help for her endless grieving, but I imagine she must take that step herself. There's only so much I can do, I don't have all the answers in the damned universe !

How do I improve self worth?

I'm struggling with self worth, there are deep seated reasons that have to do with my childhood that I'm working through with a therapist but not valuing myself is causing too much pain. It has resulted in an eating disorder and becoming disabled is only exacerbating these feelings. Right now I'm combating negative self thought but I need more movement in the positive direction any suggestions?

How do you handle a flare when you have kids?

How do you handle a flare when your kids are home? what do you tell them? do you overmedicate and do as much as you can? Do you just go somewhere else? I just had an intense flare lasting for 4 days in the midst of xmas preparations and lots of stuff I had to do with my kids. Feel shitty about being grumpy and so much in bed since all they want is xmas and a healthy happy mom..... Also, Today I'm completely exhausted although my pain is on it's way to my "normal". How do you feel when the flare is over? I also hope that I can have a few days w/o another flareup, but the unoredictable pattern now in winter, leaves me with more flaring than in spring. #RheumatoidArthritis #RheumatoidArthritis #sjogrens #Fibromyalgia #RA #Fibro #Polyneuropathy #ChronicPain #ChronicIllness #Hyperthyroidism

Hi fellow fighters! I have intense backpain on my lower left-side. Tips for positions to sit/lie in? Painrelief ? Do you have any experience with lower-back intense pain? Neuropathicpain #RheumatoidArthritis #Fibromyalgia #sjogrens #ChronicPain #BackPain #Polyneuropathy

Hi fellow fighters! It has increasingly been getting worse the last 24h. It's a new type of pain. Can't lift my legs if lying flat on the floor w/o hell. diagnosed with polyneuropathy 2 weeks ago. I'll see a doc tomorrow but another 24 hours with this seems almost unbearable. I have no clue which of my diagnosis' is behind this new pain-variety.....anyone have any experience with lower-back (on the side and towards the spine) intense pain? Thanks :) Neuropathicpain #RheumatoidArthritis #Fibromyalgia #sjogrens #ChronicPain #BackPain #Polyneuropa
