Mountain by Melanie R.

Mountain by Melanie R.

Oh, moved that mountain!

Go tell it-
Go tell it on the mountain!
Jesus got me over that mountain!
Go tell it on the mountain,
Jesus Christ’s My Lord!

Couldn’t get over it.
Couldn’t go under it.
Couldn’t climb to the top.
Couldn’t get past that big ol’ mountain on my own.

From the bottom-
Where I called Him.
When I lifted up mine eyes.

Faith was tested, but I trusted
All His strength- not mine!

Brought me to the other side!

Strength in the struggle,
Power in my prayer.
Cast in the sea,
Moved that big ol’ mountain from here to there!

Echos from the canyon!
Hallelujah!

Jesus!
Oh, Jesus!
Moved that mountain!

Told it to move! Get outta my way!

Told it to move! Get outta my way!

Oh, sun is shining so much brighter!
Nothing standing in my way!
See the horizon?
God is Mighty!
God is Mighty!

My God so Mighty!

Oh, moved that mountain!

Go tell it-
Go tell it on the mountain.
Jesus got me over that mountain.
Go tell it on the mountain,
Jesus Christs my lord

Couldn’t get over it.
Couldn’t go under it.
Couldn’t climb to the top.
Couldn’t get past that big ol’ mountain on my own.

From the bottom-
Where I called Him.
When I lifted up mine eyes.

Faith was tested, but I trusted.
All on His strength- not mine.

Brought me to the other side!

Go tell it-
Go tell it on the mountain.
Over the hills and everywhere.
Go tell it on the mountain-
Jesus Christ’s My Lord!

Moved that mountain!
Jesus Christ’s My Lord!

Sweet Release by Melanie R.

Sweet Release by Melanie R.
Let every voice of fear be silenced!
Let every anxious feeling be shutdown, and
every dark thought that said you are broken-
or forgotten- be crushed under this sweet
release!!
The past is healed, and the future is declared
righteous!
Omnipotence pour over your spirit, and be
released!
Sweet release! Thank You Jesus!
Moving mountains, I’m free.
Sweet release!
Your future is in God’s Hands-
It’s unshakable.
Nothing on this earth can come against you.
Miracles happen to this day!
Have faith! Sweet release!
We ask Mighty God of Heaven to shake your
spirit free! Be free!
In Jesus name, Be released! Have faith!
Ooh, sweet release!
Nothing’s impossible with The One,
and only true God!
Matthew 17:20
Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there”, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

It is becoming harder to manage personal grooming because of my illnesses and morbidities and problems that come from it.

Over 60 with Mito as a diagnosis and a bunch of comorbidities. The worst of it is gastroparesis right now. My chest, throat and everything all through gets inflamed. My sometimes overinflated gag reflex makes a lot of visits (Dental, etc) difficult and the lack of nutrients between the mito and the gastro means that my hair is dry and brittle, my skin is erratic and I have incredibly inflated problems with sweating. Turns out I break out after the sweating. It all leaves me tired and frustrated. I was used to keeping an eye on bathrooms for IBS, but now I have to keep track of a place to be sick. #MitochondrialDisease #personalcare #Gastroparesis I

Jonah by Melanie R.

Jonah by Melanie R.

Oh, Jonah …oh, oh, oh, Jonah.
Jonah descended…
From the town,
to the dock,
boat to the sea,
surface to deepest depths.
Down, in the belly of the beast.

Oh, that whale consumed him!

Swallowed Jonah whole!

…And before he knew it,
taken to gates of Sheol.
A watery grave-
He cried out to The Lord a desperate prayer;
A humble plea for mercy,
and he was gracefully granted it.

God heard, and rescued Jonah
from the dark abyss.
The whale spit him forth to dry land;
Back to life again.

A second breath.
A second chance to do God’s will-
The One that reigns above the waves.
Gave new life;
Saved his life!
Brought Jonah all the way.

Hope by Melanie R.

Hope by Melanie R.

In the deepest depths of the dark,
bringing life to drowning hearts.
Rescued from the whirlpool.
Lifeline from the flood.
Going through the storm,
swept over-
all washed up.

Jesus reached in troubled waters,
met me where I was.

Now I’m walking with Jesus on the waters in the storm!

Oh, hope from my Jesus, hope from my Lord!

Life for the drowning heart,

Hope if you’re drifting.

Hope if you’re lost.

Now I’m Walking with Jesus on the waters in the storm!

Zechariah 10:11
They will pass through the sea of trouble;the surging sea will be subdued.

Isaiah 43:16
Thus says The Lord, who makes a way in the sea; a path in the mighty waters.

Slung Stones by Melanie R.

Living-yet dying.
In pain, though I’m healed.
Poured on anointing,
through Jesus I’m sealed.

Unprofitable and plenty.
Receiving and waiting,
A sculpting-
His carving!

Abased and abound.
Filled-
not hungry.
The cave with the stone…
Rolled-
found empty.
My Lord on the throne,
I serve-
so humbly.
Walking with Him (narrow path)
no stumbling.

The Lion,
The Lamb,
My name on His hand.
Waters were stilled.
Slung Stones.
My giants were killed!
oh..waters were stilled.
Slung stones.
My giants were killed.

1 John 2:20
But you have an anointing
from The Holy One.

Ephesians 1:13-14
And you were also included in Christ…having believed you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:10-11
We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are constantly being given over to death for Jesus’ sake.

Isaiah 53:5
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 49:16
See, I have engraved your name on the palms of My hand.

1 Samuel 17:49
David slung one stone and struck Goliath down.

Crimson Red by Melanie R.

Crimson Red by Melanie R.

Crimson red-
against the snow.
My heartache bleeds, and nearly froze!
I turn to you
and say a prayer,
release me Lord,
from pain and spare
my heart from this deep suffering.
The ache.
The hurt.
My mind wandering.

Crimson red.
Down and blue.
White of snow.
Thoughts of you.

Buffalo blizzard.
A frozen cry.
Of time felt lost, and days gone by.
Your memory will never fade.
Swirls like wind, still falls like rain.
Our hearts hold onto memories,
Days up,
then down…like swaying trees.
Crimson red.
Hearts of truth.
Cold of snow.
Thoughts of you.

Red cardinal singing
love’s forever song of faith.
Holy water springing;
by pearl of heaven’s gate.
A timely whispered love song,
her music sung deep blue.
Sets free-
releases sadness,
as spirit’s called to you.
Consecrated!
Soul guided!
As He has heard our cries!

He knows of all the suffering,
every groaning,
every sigh.

Crimson red-
the blood was poured;
robes washed white-Calvary brought forth.

A poem/song about the untimely loss of my mother in the winter of 2021.🌹
