Neurological side effects of biologic medication

I am looking for stories that the white papers don't tell, that stay between you and your doctor and never get reported. Comment of you have been on #Biologics and experienced neurological symptoms especially new chronic life-changing nerve pain.

1. Which biologic?
2. Related to COVID infection or no?
3. Did you stop taking it?
4. Did the side effect symptoms go away, if so?

I read something about the immune system being like a water bed. Nothing ever gets fully blocked, just displaced.

I am on #Stelara 90mg/4wks. I am concerned that my typical gastrointestinal inflammation just got redirected to neurological problems like neuropathy, autonomic dysregulation, weakness, fatigue and dizziness that made my life even harder than the Crohns did. I have been doing a lot of research and am asking my doctor if we can switch me off of it.

I was on Stelara about 8 months til I got COVID and its been downhill ever since. Went from teaching dance classes to walking with a cane in about a year.

Its hard to find this kind of story online. Maybe the comments on this post will help some confused people who are also having the same symptoms with #immunosuppressants -- hope we all feel better soon.

Also, I'm new to this app. Help me find my people! Say hi!

Another flare up another job

This is my first time reaching out. I was diagnosed 5 years ago. I have gone through many medications. I have formed allergies to most of the steroids. Covid has caused me to become immune to #Humira . I lost my job yesterday. I am going in for infusion on Tuesday for skyrizi. Hoping this begins to turn things around. I'm not really sure what to do for work going forward. I have lost 2 jobs after having 2 major flare ups after getting covid. I can get boosted, wear masks wash my hands. I have still gotten it twice. Effecting my crohns and other major health issues. Anyone have some ideas for working from home. I was a materials and planning manager for 25 years

Need advice

Hey everyone! Looking for advice as I prepare for ileostomy placement/surgery for the first time after being diagnosed with crohns 8 years ago. I’ve failed 3 biologics and surgery has become my only hope for some semblance of normalcy. Or should I say stability? I’m looking for advice or stories from everyone who’s had or has an ostomy. I’m worried about everything, particularly intimacy issues after, comfort, pain, self conscious thoughts and feelings

If you take humira and got the covid-19 vaccine what was your experience?

The vaccine just opened up to everyone where I live. I really want to make an appointment but I have unanswered questions and cent get through to my doctor's office. I will continue to try to get in touch with them but I really want to make an appointment before it becomes too difficult to get one. If you got the vaccine and take humira were you advised to delay it? I am supposed to inject today and I will of they don't get back to me, I just want to prepare myself if I need to. Also did they advise against and or premote any specific vaccines? The J&J is available where I am but I don't know if that would be the best option compared to pfizer or moderna. #Humira #RheumatoidArthritis

I have three good Humira pens that could be used by someone in need. I dont know if this is possible. I can not take Humira anymore because of a reaction. If you know of any ways I can get someone these or if thats even okay let me know.

Has anyone stopped taking your Humira shots without your Drs permission? Having adverse effects they did not believe. I just skipped this last shot.

I’m on my 3rd dose of Humira. No side effects bad enough to notice. How long before I feel relief for arthritis and UC. I know it takes time. Curious

Has Humira caused anyone to gain a significant amount of weight? Humira is my third medication since I was diagnosed with RA three years ago.
