DAM

Let them flow. All those unspoken thoughts. All those suppressed emotions. All those unacknowledged difficulties. All those guilty secrets. All those painful memories. All those hidden corners. All those awkward truths. All those undressed wounds. All those uncomfortable ideas. All those latent longings and denied desires. All that water building behind the dam. Don’t wait for that pressure to build. Don’t wait to burst wide open. Let them flow. Let them flow. Let them flow. - Matt Haig

TO REMEMBER DURING THE BAD DAYS

It won’t last.

You have felt other things. You will feel other things again.

Emotions are like weather. They change and shift. Clouds can seem as still as stone. We look at them and hardly notice a change at all. And yet they always move.

The worst part of any experience is the part where you feel like you can’t take it anymore. So, if you feel like you can’t take it anymore, the chances are you are already at the worst point. The only feelings you have left to experience are better than this one.

You are still here. And that is everything.

The Comfort Book

I recently opened up to my older sister about my mental health. She, like many others had no idea just how bad I was struggling. I really wish I had confided in her sooner as she has been so supportive.

I got this book today in the mail from her. Has anyone read it before? I plan on starting it after I’m finish “The Midnight Library”, also by Matt Haig.

I’ve found reading is a big part about of my recovery. Does anyone else feel this way? Is anyone else currently reading a good book? If so, what is it? Are there any books you recommend that has helped you in any way or that maybe got you through tough times?

Good read for understanding bipolar. #Bipolar #goodread #informative

This is the first time posting on here, and it took a lot of courage as I don't "do," social media anymore. However, I just started reading a very informative book on bipolar and wanted to share it with anynody that might struggle. This book is also great for family and friends. The book is titled: "Take Charge of Bipolar Disorder," by Julie A. Fast and John Preston.
I'm only about 35 pages in and it has really hit home!
