I’m new here!

Hi, my name is BjornR. I'm here because I have chronic pain in my back since 40 years. I am now on OXY and I am trying to find ways away from these pills!

Hi, intro post

I am new here. I am 71, male, in Missouri. Welcome to me. :) I have farmed for about 30 years, and cleaned houses for a living. I have Peripheral Neuropathy causes chronic pain 24/7. I spend most of time managing it. I have terrible flares twice a day, after I have slept. ( nap in the day ). Now I have microscopic colitis. It is a mess sometimes. Other wise I am a happy person.

I tried to commit suicide last year over the pain. I don't know how I have survived until now, but life is still happening. I need others who are dealing with their own situation to share in this very weird, and painful life. Hopefully I will get to talk with several of you as time goes by.

I'm an open book, when I am not closed. :)

Welcome

I'm new here!

Hi, my name is tomatopelican3375, and I must apologize now for this ridiculous and lengthy introduction. It is … A LOT … Ok, so I'm here because I lost my Mother 4 years ago June 25th. Not only was she my biggest fan, she was also my very best friend. I lost my 15+year job while living through her final months of life . Oh yeah, within the year surrounding the loss of my Mother, I also lost my Step-Mother along with my Maternal Grandmother and Maternal Grandfather. Now my significant other of 10 years has left me because as he sees it, I refuse to go back to work and he chose to tell me this only 3 days before the 4 year anniversary of my Mothers death. I lost my employment back in April of 2018 and did gain new employment in August of 2018 all to be let go in February of 2019 due to the company choosing to take a different direction; no fault of my own. Another setback. I then applied for unemployment of which I received for maybe 1 & 1/2 years. Then most recent I excepted a job similar to what I had done at my ‘career’ job but rather one step up in the pecking order as I had been working for a wholesale distribution company and this new gig was working for a foreign-based manufacturing company. After only a short month into this new role my immediate supervisor and I decided to part ways as the opportunity was simply not a good fit for either of us. I should also mention that I spent the last year being diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis coupled with Celiac Disease. As if these new diagnoses weren’t enough to digest -no pun intended- I already suffered from asthma, anxiety, depression and also about a year agoI had been declared as postmenopausal (this was the only point of celebration and at least there is that!) by my OGYN who during the same appointment diagnosed me with Vaginal Atrophy. All with what was her last week at this facility as she was going to work elsewhere! How many ‘changes’ can one contend with all at once? I feel like I am going to loose my mind too before long yet I have lost nearly everything I’ve ever known already!

I'm new here!

Hi, my name is bubakitty. I'm here because I have recently been diagnosed with micorscopic colitis and diverticulits, after losing 40 pounds over 3 months. I am really having a difficult time finding foods I can eat, and rice cakes and applesauce are getting old.

I'm new here!

Hi, my name is Chala1105. I’m new to The Mighty and look forward to sharing my story.

I'm 34, married and mama to 2 daughters. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 2 years ago and am on my 3rd and 4th medications for it. I have since been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, microscopic colitis, and chronic uveitis. I have had anxiety/depression most of my life and having these conditions exacerbates my mental health issues. I look forward to making connections within this community.
