My cat saves my life everyday and she doesn't even know it,
It's not like she pulled me from a burning building,
Or dragged me out a lake seconds from drowning,
Or prevents me from succumbing to a massive heart attack,

But my cat saves my life everyday and continues to do so,
She pulls me from the savage fire inside me,
She drags me out the deep dark depths of my mind where I drown in my thoughts,
She rescues me from my hopeless, broken heart,

My cat is selfish, spoilt and susceptible to bribes,
She poos on the floor if she doesn't get her own way,
She bites your feet in the night if her food bowl is empty,
She pulls the bows off other people's Christmas presents,

But my cat saves my life even so,
She saves me from myself,

How?
Because if I kill myself, who's going to feed the cat....🐈

Since my last couple posts, I have started to come back around to more positive and pleasant thoughts. Thanks to you guys here for caring and being encouraging, I did not give up! ☺️💜
Part of my self care has always been animals ❤️.....I work at a veterinary hospital and that usually brings me happiness! In this case it was a friends rabbit 🐇👍. It was so calm, soft and happy to be held...and I was happy to oblige! I hope you all have a wonderful day! Hugs 🤗❤️

i don’t know where I’d be without my awesome pets. this is max and he cuddles up under me especially on my bad days. i have a smaller kitten named Bella and a 3 year old dachshund cocker spaniel mixed puppy. On my bad days they all climb in bed with me. we watch Disney plus and fall asleep. they are like little best friends that just get me. if you don’t have a pet i strongly suggest getting one. they are super helpful when dealing with major depressive disorders. they know just when to snuggle and hug you in all the right places ❤️ #petsastherapy #catlover #DepressiveDisorders #mentalhealthhack #MentalHealthHero
