I'm feeling kinda anxious for no reason that I am aware of. So I just took 75mg of hydroxyzine. I'm gonna try to meditate for about an hour. My caregiver gave me pain meds about a half hour ago. She also put some CBD cream on my back and hips. I'm feeling really crappy. But the package from Amazon arrived. I got 5 jars of Alfredo sauce.

I'm gonna try putting on my heating pad for an hour. Pain is at 7. Hopefully i can get comfy and meditate.

I woke up at 8am with intense sharp stabbing back pain so I took a Norco at about 830. A half hour ago I asked my caregiver what time I took the Norco and she snapped at me. I didn't know she was busy with work. So I looked at the clock and realized it had been 5 hours. I usually take one every 4 hours. No wonder I was hurting so much. So I went and got a 7.5mg Norco. When I got back to my bed I realized I had a really nasty migraine. So I took a sumatriptan and 2 Excedrin. That was 20 minutes ago. I'm starting to notice my migraine has decreased in severity. My back still hurts like hell.

I've got therapy at 3pm. My caregiver is supposed to join me but I think she's not going to. I emailed my therapist the journal prompts she and I worked on last night. I actually posted some of the answers in Self Discovery Workshop if you're interested.

My caregiver made me a jug of cold brew coffee last night. She and I discussed how making me coffee when I'm sad or having a high pain day is the trick to making me happy. She didn't realize how important coffee is to me. I'm working on a bottle of juice right now. I'm gonna mix the coffee with a protein shake.

Pain is shooting down my right leg to my knee. My back feels like it got stabbed. My hips are trashed. Maybe my caregiver will let me have the other half of the Norco now instead of having to wait till 7pm. Pain is at 7.

I had to go outside to meet my caseworker cuz she brought me a box of testing strips. I was sitting on the sidewalk for 10 minutes. I know better than to sit on the ground but I wasn't listening to my inner voice saying "you're gonna hurt later". But gosh my hips are throbbing and my lumbar feels like I got kicked. Pain is at 7 right now. I'm still functional. My ex girlfriend is asleep so I gotta wait for meds and CBD cream.

For years and years I’ve had problems with my joints, but the worst ones have always been my hips, knees, shoulders and fingers. Last year I was going to sit with my legs crossed, and as I did so I felt something hard in my right hip grind and I actually screamed. The pain literally blinded me for a good 10 seconds. After straightening my leg slowly, it eased up. But any time I turned my leg or lifted it, that same pain came back with a vengeance.

Naturally, I went to my GP and she and a colleague had me moving my leg in different ways and angles, which really really hurt, and said it was definitely an arthritic pain. They gave me some kick-ass anti inflammatory meds primarily used for arthritis (Meloxicam), and said they’d send me for an urgent x-ray of my pelvis.

A few days later I had the x-ray, even though the technician kept making me move my leg in different angles again.

And a week after that, my doctor called me with the results. Apparently I have something called a hip impingement? There’s a deformity in the ball of the joint that fits into the socket of my pelvis. Like an extra lip of bone. And over the years it’s been grinding in the socket so much it’s worn it down, and now I have arthritis. She said my left hip has a similar deformity but nowhere near as bad.

So, I’ve got to try and take it easy. I’m still going for very slow and short walks to get me out of the house. But it’s so damn frustrating that I have to slow down! And I know if I go against what she suggested, I’m going to seriously pay for it. Ugh.

So, I’ve done a lot of reading in the last few weeks. Yesterday I picked up A Court of Thorns And Roses (ACOTAR), and this morning I was sat in my mum’s room just quietly reading… Until Loki jumped up and stared at me. 😂 I don’t think he approves of me reading instead of giving him cuddles. He’s such a jelly-belly!

Both my hips are really messed up. I've got #Bursitis , #Osteoarthritis , bone spurs in the joints, and #hipimpingement all on both sides. The surgeon won't do anything for me because he says that I'm too young. So the only relief I get is from Percocet and rest.
My PCP decided to go ahead and do cortisone injections on both sides since the surgeon is not helping me. I'm having it done tomorrow. He did injections in November but it only lasted 3 weeks. We figure might as well try again.
