As my body aches today, I'm reminded of something my Mom (who dealt with chronic pain too) would say. ...
"I'm allergic to pain, it hurts me.." 😆👌
Wishing everyone a lovely day despite the pain..💚

Let’s make a list we can all refer back to in the coming weeks as holiday festivities ramp up.

Self-Care tip Stretch your body for ten minutes each day If that's too much try five or three or even one Wiggle your toes reach for the sky lean into a comfortable child's pose. Get blood moving through your body just a bit more than usual #selfcare #Sundayselfcare #sunday #Stretch #getmoving
Sundays used to be a great day for me, because I loved my job. Now I'm burned out and no longer enjoy my job. This feeling has been so strong that I know I need to take action to find a new job. But I'm scared! My current job is flexible so when I'm not doing well, I can call in sick with no repercussions. It's also super easy, so I can push myself through a difficult day. I'm afraid to commit to future plans, because, having Bipolar 1 is so unpredictable.

Breathing life into my day by moving forward and picking myself up, even if it feels impossible. ##Sundayselfcare #movingforward #BeBrave
Sunday always feels like a major ending of some sort. Like I’m running out of time. Like I’m about to miss out on something important. I hate it so much. To counter this feeling, today I’m going to binge watch ‘Blue Bloods’ on Netflix!
How do you combat this type of feeling?
Self care for me is a new thing. All my life I have taken care of everyone else, mostly my kids , spouse and infirm relatives. I’m a natural caregiver so it is fulfilling. I was finally diagnosed a little over a year ago and it is a doozy. Mitochondrial Myopathy. The minor weakness, constant falling and double vision has snow balled and exhaustion is my constant companion. I try to get rest have a treat now and then but going out for anything requires more strength than I have. Bad day today. Thanks for being here.
