I need a #bacation from #treatment

#PersistentDepressiveDisorder I am taking 10 #medications for depression and anxiety, have tried #ketamine infusions, transmagnetic treatments, and have been on #ECT for more than a year. I feel better, but in the sense that I’m functioning, not crying all the time, sometimes almost happy. Am meeting with doc this afternoon to discuss my #treatmentplan . I’m so tired, feel like I need to not think about my #mentalillnesses for awhile.

what experience does anyone have being forced to change rheumologist after decades with the same one?

The Rheumy I have been seeing for May years recently had his license suspended indefinitely. as a Rheumy he is great. compassionate, listening, willing to try new treatments, etc. I am at a loss to find out he has had his license suspended due to personal choices. the health group I am a part of has brought in a temporary Rheumy to fill the gap. I see him in two weeks. I have no rapport with the new guy and maybe he will be great. I am experiencing a lot of anxiety with this change. I also feel somewhat abandoned by my old Rheumy. just wondering how others have dealt with a similar situation. #ChronicIllness #changeofdoctors #treatmentplan #Trust #Anxiety

Self Care

Treatment for any condition can be daunting and frustrating. A part of your overall well-being sticking to your treatment plan is essential. Don't leave your treatment plan soley up to anyone you don't trust. Be vocal and express everything that you feel and experience with those who aid in your treatment.

Add to your treatment plan on a personal level by making time for a nice bath with scented Epsom Salt and essential oils. Add candles and your favorite music. Make sure you give yourself a grace period when taking your meds (if applicable) in case you feel sick or not yourself until it kicks in. Try journaling, there are various ways to do such. Create an art journal, writing journal, anger journal, anxiety journal ect. #MentalHealth #ChronicIllness #treatment #treatmentplan #PersonalTouch #Selfcare #Anxiety #Depression #Bipolar #disorders #Endometriosis #InterstitialCystitis #PersonalityDisorders #Disability

What are your remedies for severe neck pain with (h) Ehlers Danlos Syndrome? #EhlersDanlos #ChronicPain #neckpain #HEDS #EDS #EhlersDanlosSyndrome

For the last three days, my neck and shoulders have been in more pain than they ever have. I had to go to MedExpress, because what I usually do for pain wasn’t working. The nurse practitioner prescribed me a few muscle relaxants/antispasmodics (Baclofen) to try to get me through until next Friday, which is when I get my Botox for migraines.

It literally feels like my head is too heavy for my neck to hold up and my muscles have tightened up so my skull doesn’t fall off.

My fellow bendy friends, what is your go-to method for neck pain?
