Confused

Hi everyone! I hope you all are hanging in there. Recently I have been having an issue with my parents. They were supportive and understanding of me for fibromyalgia but lately they have been using it against me. I am not able to do a lot of the things I used to, and I tell them that I don’t use having fibromyalgia as an excuse. I would LOVE and WISH I could do some of the things I used to. They have started to make it about them, and my feelings are flat out hurt.

Episode 15- CBT

In this chat fest, we are checking
out Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, often referred to as CBT. This particular branch of therapy suggests that our thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and behavior are all connected. Its most important component is to help people identify and change thinking and behavior patterns that can be harmful and/or
ineffective. Ultimately, figuring out the problem, seeing what you're currently doing, and finding a more effective way to achieve success. We have both tried this approach, so we weigh in on the pros and cons from our individual perspective. The origin, the techniques and personal stories ensue. Join us in the conversation.

We dive deeper in the blog, Wisdom Walks, on our website: creativecopes.wixsite.com/podcast/wisdomwalks. Here you can find links to articles we researched, items that may be able to purchase, and extras in the form of written word for those of you who like a cup of visual to go with your aural input. You can also find previous episodes at creativecopes.wixsite.com/podcast or https://Linktree.we/creativecopes , as well as our contact information and various other useful things.
And we are still working on full transcripts.

As a Christian, I do know that things can change if God choses to heal and I have to be there for others. Being a Pastors wife and involved in Christian Biblical Counseling I have some tools to help myself. However, sometimes I feel less by the people I am there to help, because of all they know about me missing church or activities. Somehow, because I can't hold a job outside the home, when I am there to help others I feel they think I am weak and what wisdom I have to offer is not taken seriously. I know that anything I do that helps someone is because of the Lord. he gets all the glory and I love it. But my flesh is weak at times and I feel hurt. Pray I get over that for good!#Fibro Fog#Stroke #IBS #chronicm ygraines#AnxietyAttack #chronicbackpain #Chronicbackpain#FibromyalgiaDiagnosis

Chronic pain/condition blogs

Hi.

I have been thinking about writing about chronic pain and other conditions for quite some time. I would say I have a lot of thoughts and opinions, and I used to be good at expressive writing (if I've gotten the term right) and getting things down on paper. I was hoping I could potentially make people feel less alone. However, I'm unsure of where I could post things like this or how to get started? Any advice would be appreciated💜

Did anyone develop a stutter with their fibromyalgia symptoms?

I am newly diagnosed and while trying to figure out what's going on I saw some people mention "speech problems" as a symptom. My stutter developed in late high-school and is worst when anxious or fatigued so I was wondering if it could in reality be a symptom of fibromyalgia. Willing to discuss further. #FibromyalgiaDiagnosis #Fibromyalgia

Official Diagnosis #FibromyalgiaDiagnosis #Fibromyalgia #ChronicFatigue

Hello my Mighty Family! Saturday I got my official diagnosis…after 20 years! I am so grateful I found an amazing rheumatologist who sees patients on a Saturday, and who was willing to spend two hours with me…after looking over the lab results I took in with me, he came into the room and spent the first hour and a half asking me questions, actively listening to my responses, and then sharing that based on everything he was confident in my diagnosis and confident in his treatment plan. Even though I have always known fibromyalgia runs in my family and I have talked to Doctors about it, he was the first to finally acknowledge that, yes…I have a chronic illness, but with his help it will not be what defines me nor will it be the end of my career. Medication management, getting my pain under control with a nerve blocker and a prescribed NSAID (as Advil and Tylenol don’t help and I did not want any opioids) because he said my pain tolerance is way too high, and something to help my sleep. Started treatment and feeling a little better, minus the #FibroFog . Anyone have any suggestions for managing the fibrofog?
