I'm in my 50's and I have had anxiety since childhood. This week I finally decided to treat this with medication. I have had therapy and while helpful, I wasn't able to control my Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety. So far, the only noticeable side effect is a slight headache. I really hope this works because I'm hopeful for a life without anxiety/panic.#Anxiety #Buspar

I took a hot shower last night before bed. I woke up around 1:30 am to go to the bathroom. Then I fell back to sleep. I think by taking the #Buspar helped . I think I was going through some type of #Withdrawls . I will never stop cold turkey again. So, if u are thinking of going cold turkey with your meds please don’t do it. #Withdrawls can be brutal consult with your doctor first #MajorDepressiveDisorder #PTSD #GeneralizedAnxietyDisorde

I’m also on #Trazadone for sleep hopefully the #Buspar was the missing puzzle. #Insomnia can be number of things. I am 49 it could be hormonal. My time of the month is due any day now. I do journal before I go to bed that usually helps sleep. I am going to shower before bed to get me relaxed. I have a sleep mask.

I haven’t slept in 2 days. It’s around the time of the month I usually have 1 insomnia night. But I think I pinned point what is causing it. I stopped taking buspar cold turkey cause I thought it wasn’t working. Well the side effects are #Anxiety and #insomia . So later on when it’s open I will refill my buspar. It’s 3:17 am I’m going to try and get some sleep 💤

I’ve been so frustrated with trying to find the right medication with my talk therapy. I was on Paxil and buspar for over 20 years with great success. I developed RA, have gone through menopause, etc and I believe this is what contributed to it becoming ineffective. since then, I’ve try Effexor, Lexepro and now finally Zoloft. we added back buspar to help with the anxiety, but I’m finding that 50 Zoloft might not be enough and when I increased to 100 Zoloft, I got crazy anxious. I’ve gone back down to 50, because the anxiety. My doctor suggested lamictal. has anyone else had any success with Lamictal for OCD and/or anxiety?

Currenly taking Lamotrigine but anxiety is still off the charts. About to start Buspar but of course I’m insanely anxious about it! 🙄
I’ve read a lot of negative reviews, has anyone in the Mighty community tried it before? Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks :)

My Dr started me on Buspar recently for anxiety and I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this medicine. I am taking it along with #Latuda and #wellbutrin. So far I have felt slightly off and physically ill since beginning this med as well as worse chest pains than usual. I’m one day away from Week 2 of my medicine change and for the past two nights I’ve cried myself to bed. It’s the weirdest thing. I can get through my day, a little rocky and all but at the end of the day I just feel exhausted. And I cry because I hate the feeling of putting all this effort to just be okay.
