This is not the best photo, but I've been dealing with this rash and lesions/rash on the rest of my body for almost 2 months now. I went to urgent care when I first got it, and they diagnosed it as contact dermatitis, and gave me steroids and cortisone cream. My endocrinologist said it wasn't contact dermatitis, but wants me to go to a dermatologist to get it checked out, even though my bloodwork came back that my white blood cell count was elevated even though I asked to have an autoimmune issue ruled out based on my symptoms of the rash and lesions, sensitivity to sunlight, dizziness, nausea, headaches, and one side of my throat sore/painful to a point where I can't even yawn it hurts so much. They don't want to do bloodwork because they said the white blood cell count was only 90 points above normal. Needless to say, I'm in so much pain I'm in tears, and don't know what else to do. 😫

Motivational Monday- Not About Choice, but How We Cope

“Diabetes is not a choice, but how I live with it is.” - Brett Andreas

Diabetes isn't a choice, but how you cope and manage it is completely in your hands. Having a healthy diet, regular exercise, stress management, medication, if needed, and monitoring blood sugar levels can all improve someone's quality of life. The good news is that living with diabetes doesn't have to be a limitation, but rather an opportunity for you to make positive changes for your well-being.

“Do things at your own pace. Life is not a race.” - Anonymous

It's important to remember that managing diabetes is a lifelong journey and it's important to take things at your own pace.

Don't compare yourself to others or feel like you need to keep up with anyone else's progress. Everyone's journey with diabetes is unique and it's important to focus on your own health and well-being. So take your time, make small changes, and find what works best for you.

Motivational Monday: Braver, Stronger, Smarter

"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
- A.A. Milne

We are capable of more than we realize. It akes courage to make lifestyle changes and manage blood sugar levels, strength to overcome challenges and setbacks, and intelligence to understand and make informed decisions about treatment options.

You might be going through a challenging time managing this condition, but don't count yourself out! Think about what you're doing right so far and what to improve on. Then, focus on making one change at a time.

I'm new here!

Hi, my name is Spud_u_Like1982. I'm here because I am currently unemployed and living with multiple mental health conditions in OCD, anxiety, depression, hoarding disorder, recently diagnosed ADHD (Inattention), potential autistic spectrum disorder. I also have IBS, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. My partner of 7 years recently dissolved our relationship and I am still living in the same house with her and sharing a bed still. Due to all my issues I now have a very low sex drive and I have recently been feeling very suicidal. I feel completely unloved, unwanted and unneeded. I don't really have any friends and I feel very isolated and alone. I'm close to my Parents, but they are all I have.

Diabetes is such a buzzkill and other bullshit

I was sad. So I ordered food. And then I felt better. Except an hour later my BG was 374. So I took 20 units of humalog. An hour later my BG was down to 315. Now it's down to 311. I'm gonna take 10 more units of humalog. I'm very thirsty. I've been sipping on some coffee for the last 3 hours. I'm gonna go make a bottle of sugar free juice in a bit.

I really need adult supervision.

And my caregiver told me to get a Norco but I have no idea where it is. We have over 100 bottles of meds. I'll just wait.

The storm is very scary.
