I feel so depressed by online dating. I know I need to be patient to find the right person, but it's so hard when I have traditional values (wanting to wait until marriage) but also progressive values (I don't want kids — ever). It feels so difficult. I feel alone. Pray for me?

Out of everyone we spend time with in our lives, we spend the most with ourselves. And how we speak, treat, and interact with our own minds and hearts influences our self-perception (and usually our self-esteem, too).

Reaching December always stirs up a lot of thoughts for me. As I write this, I'm imagining myself sitting under the moonlight with the year's lessons rolling past me like movie credits. One thing that keeps coming up is what I want to move on from.
I want to move on from the version of me that holds too tightly to experiences that hurt. I’m ready to let them go now. I want to learn what I need to learn — and then let go just as gracefully.

56 1 0 0 0 0Just had my session with my therapist.. Talking to him felt like the breath of fresh air... I knew that I needed it badly... Someone I could talk to my heart... I am feeling lighter.. I was also wondering how could I be so talkative with him... I was talking nonstop... Really needed someone to share everything... He listened, made me understand... He is like a guide for me.. I am just so grateful to have him... It’s a blessing indeed... I was feeling so bad.. I was even asking my own existence.. But, after talking to him, I feel safe and grounded... It feels good.. He talked about the boundaries I need to set... And,I realised how important it is... This was just very much needed for me.... #Depression #MentalHealth #Anxiety #CheckInWithMe

Because I've been so used to being hurt, or not feeling good enough or worthy enough that I've shut myself off from it completely and lost my spark? Is it normal to feel nothing when I used to feel things for people? Do you ever feel this way?
