I have lived with #Chronicintractablemigraine since I was five years old and was diagnosed with #Fibromyalgia while I was in graduate school after a serious head on car accident (the woman at fault ultimately died of her traumatic brain injury) and have now spent decades in the field of #MentalHealthAdvocacy and #WomensHealth. (I’m a JD-MPH but a blogger, SAHM and on disability as a full time volunteer).

Yesterday a high school student rear ended me in her new Range Rover. After the accident, four cars from the high school joined her. While I waited in my car in pain, refusing treatment. (I will choose a different hospital than where they could transport me) a group of girls mocked and glared at me for being the victim of their friend. I’m so hurt and angry. As I drove away in pain, someone’s child, incapable of the #ActOfKindness of checking on me, instead made the “loopy circle” hand gesture and continued to mock me. I have no lost my desire to help the community.

This post is full of self-pity so feel free to scroll on by. Today I’m missing my youngest Godson and his wife’s gender reveal party due to migraine. I also missed their wedding, graduation (college and high school), prom, and seeing him play college football and most of high school.
For some stupid reason, I really thought I’d make it today. I was feeling a bit better yesterday. Had tons of people praying, but no. I haven’t been able to get out of bed all day. They live about 45 minutes away, and the venue of the party is almost 1.5 hours from me. If they were in town I might try to push through and get there, even if I had to throw up in the bathroom. But I can’t get on the interstate like this, much less be at a party.
So I’ll miss another Milestone of his, and in general.

Like a thief in the night I sneak in whispering your name.

Those things are gone, poof, in the night.
Now your time is consumed fighting pain and explaining how you feel.
Just taking a shower or fixing food takes all your might.
