I’ve had a rough couple of weeks, mostly with my seizures. I’ve been fighting stomach issues forever, but it has been so much worse in the last year. I have an #EEG next week and a #Colonoscopy the following week. I need some answers…that’s something I struggle with the most. I am tired of doing endless medical testing to find nothing to explain anything. I’ve had enough, so any positive thoughts and/or prayers you can throw my way would be greatly appreciated! #Epilepsy #Needanswers #SoDone #mysteries
I have many disabilities if I sit down & think about all of them; single sided deaf, acoustic neuroma (surgery for it made me SSD), chronic vertigo, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, eczema, stress, PTSD. That could be all. With having this 3rd colonoscopy, I’m wondering if I might have IBS-C or slow \stomach or something. My SIL & one of her daughters have IBS-D.
In my first, I got a lecture about doing a complete prep. I did take everything I was supposed to, but my body is just slow. In the second colonoscopy, I got well washed and stuff removed from 3-4 diverticuli. How horrible to see something I ate c ome out. Yuck. This time, I am on a 3 day liquid diet. Broth and apple juice are my most exciting meals. I’m praying for a squeaky clean backside on Friday. I’ve had 2 pre-cancerous polyps removed. My dad died of colon cancer. I take this test very seriously. I’m worried about the insurance charges will be. Has anyone else here had an invasive test one/week for 3 weeks in a row? My fibromyalgia is in superflare. I don’t want or need any sedation. I’m taking Lyrica at 300 mg/day, xanax at 4 mg/day, Effexor xr 150 mg/day, Wellbutrin 300 mg/day, Trazodone to help me sleep. My pain is at 10, well, WAY past a 10. I had one nurse pressing on my lower abdomen while someone pressed my back. It didn’t hurt.
Has anyone had a major round of events like this? How has it impacted your life? My fingers are too painful to do knitting. I’m trying to really figure it out. How long will recovery be? How much am I getting hurt if I don’t even feel pressure as they are going through my bowels? (Photo from my painful trip to Key West, Florida in early April. #Colonoscopy my first colonoscopy Thursday,doing this for my health and overcoming body shaming,not a big deal
I finally took two days off work. No, I’m not going on vacation. I have an upper and lower scope of my GI system today and I decided to take the time to recover tomorrow. Taking two days off work was extra work for me, lesson planning for my students. Yet I knew I needed a day where I could rest, catch up on my own homework for my doctorate program, and just rest my body and mind.
That has led me to the laziest morning ever. I snuggled my little girl and she fell asleep in my arms under the covers with me. My arm is asleep and numb but how can you even fathom waking a sleeping pup??
So I'm having yet another gastroscopy and colonoscopy on Tuesday morning, Queensland time. I've had at least 5 colonoscopies in the last 4 years. I have pancreatitis, GORD, Barrett's Oesophagus. Plus I've had a pain in my abdomen for 2 and a half years. I've only been in remission from cancer since march last yr so hospitalla and I are old friends
I’m up. for the next 4 hours all I’m going to be doing is drinking the hell liquid Nd pooping. I already have a really bad anxiety stomach ache or maybe it’s because I haven’t eaten in 2 days. maybe it’s because of this hell liquid or maybe I’m just dying. I’m so glad this ends today I feel so disgusting and I’m just full of pain
so I have to have a colonoscopy tomorrow and I have to drink this fluid that makes you poop. that’s fine not the issue, but it tastes so disgusting that I cannot drink it, I wanna puke and I wanna cry even just thinking about it. I have to wake up at 6 am to drink the last 1/2 gallon and I just don’t know if I can drink it all. I hope the doctors won’t be mad
