Loki

My kitten, Loki, is a very demanding little sir. Yesterday, despite suffering with very bad sciatica, I went over to my sister’s for the afternoon and early evening for dinner. I spent the whole time chasing and tickling my nephew, playing with him and his new toys, etc.

So, naturally, I had to take extra painkillers last night to actually finally get to sleep at around 2am. Which meant I woke up quite late this morning (around 10am). When I rolled over and tugged open my curtains, Loki was just sat there, staring into my soul. It was eerie. 😂

The second I managed to sit upright he legged it over to his food bowls (he has one always full of biscuits and then a few times a day he has wet food). But the way he practically SCREAMS his meows at me, you’d think I hadn’t fed him in weeks. My Loki, the Drama King and God of Mischief. 😂 I’m so glad I have him, though. He seriously cheers me up on days where smiling feels impossible. He’s a good boy, really. He gives me lots of cuddles when I need them.

I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not (but it probably is), but since my lower back has been painful for the last couple of weeks, when he crawls under the covers with me in bed, he lays behind me, curled up at my lower back. The heat from his not-so-little body eases the spasms there. 🥰

With having babies I always hate seeing them sick and I would get worried but I always had a sense on what to do for them and I just think because I am human and I know how our bodies work!
Seriously this was rough and I never been this scared ever! Not even with Tucker! His body was tough and he never got sick until his older age!
Guess who ate actual solids last night? That's right our boy Loki!! He ate on his own!!! We were all jumping with joy last night!!
We got to sleep through the night too without going to the washroom every hour or two!! I think I can breathe now

Since last night he had a 1/2 of my soup goop! Just a half hour ago he initiated to play with his toys! It was short lived but still such a good sign!
He is resting again!! I still have no word on hos bloodwork yet!

Well I couldn't get him to eat at all! He has had some water but doc says only 1 to 2 cups ever 2 to 3 hours!
He had a bit of light play in the back yard and went for a short walk. Trying to work up an appetite, he enjoyed his walk and even did his usual roll around. We kept it really short! It didn't work, he had a drink but no food! So I ended up putting his rice and boiled beef into a blender with veggies broth, water, rice milk I made from his rice, a little scoop of pumpkin and his probiotic supplements doc gave him blended it all together and put it in a big syringe and he took two syringe full! It's a start! I will keep doing this and ask if it is ok to try him more on solid food at tomorrow night or even the next day! Fingers crossed they say it's ok!
Me my anxiety is high... very fatigue and I am getting sore. I am going to get some sleep cause I have to work too tomorrow! Luckily I work from home so I dont go far from my Loki!
I keep having some crying moments cause I cant make him feel better asap. I never had Tucker at this age and never had any issues like this with him. I am trying to let Loki live his best life and he keeps getting sick on me.
He is in bed with us now sleeping! I will let you know how he is in the morning!

Yesterday I got some energy and we had a cleaning day with the help of my husband! So no walks yesterday! While I was taking a break Loki was trying to get to his toy box that Beau was laying in front of. He was so excited cause he knew all his toys that made it under the couch was back in his toy box! Haha...
