Hi. My name is bbhr and I joined because I want to heal childhood trauma and learn how to overcome stigma. I want to get better at talking about what happened and the emotions I have about it. I want to be better equipped emotionally to deal with people and the things they say and do. Specifically family members. I want to handle my Chrons better. Right now I'm on Apriso and I'm not a fan of it. I don't take it like I should because I don't like being on meds.

How are de feeling with the changes in making rules?
Hey All,
I want to check in and see how we are doing. It seems masking on planes (at least Airlines in the US) will be optional after May 3rd. Masks are optional here in California too. Personally, I am not very comfortable with this decision and will continue to mask up while in public.

How or what do you eat when you don’t feel hungry.
So hello I’m new here I struggle with chrons disease IBS and ulcerative colitis, I’ve been diagnosed since 2012 but still find myself struggling to eat, I go a day or two without eating and when I finally do I feel sick and get super nauseous. #chrons disease #InflammatoryBowelDiseaseIBD #UlcerativeColitis #EatingIssues

Tests for #severe digestive issues ?
I’ve had digestive issues for two years now, with symptoms of diarrhea, constipation, stomach cramps, stabbing stomach pains, and nausea whenever I eat/drink. I’ve been on different medications to control the symptoms but as soon as my body adjusts to the medication, they come back very quickly, leaving me unable to work. I’ve had multiple abdominal ultrasounds (both with and without contrast), as well as a colonoscopy/endoscopy, which only showed inflammation. I’ve been tested for diabetes, celiac, and #chrons but all were negative. I was diagnosed with food allergies but even with avoiding those for over a year, as well as avoiding inflammatory painkillers such as naproxen, ibuprofen, and aspirin, my digestive issues have only gotten worse and I’m desperate. Do any of you have any idea of tests that I can ask for? #Fibromyalgia #ChronicFatigue #IrritableBowelSyndromeIBS #Digestiveproblems

Very new here
About a month ago I was diagnosed with Chrons disease and a week ago I was hospitalized for the first time. Up until that point I hadn’t given it much thought as to how this affected my daily life, but it does. I over worked my body and ate and drank things I shouldn’t have. I don’t want this disease to take over my entire life and dictate how I live. It’s been so hard to deal with this because no one in my family has Crohn’s and none of my friends really understand how this affects my daily life. Anyways I guess I’m posting this in hopes of having someone reach out and help me to deal with the initial shock? #chrons #Chrohnsdisease #ChronicIllness

My brother has always been the "sick" one, the one you should feel sorry for. He's twenty eight now, and I'm sixteen, always expected to carry my family's emotional burdens and stepping aside whenever he needs extra fussing and attention.
Why does feeling left out and unworthy make me so selfish in other people's eyes?
Why can't I be worth listening to, too?

Or am I even real to you, mom, dad?
