Motivational Monday: Not Defined

“Diabetes does not define me, but it helps shape who I am.” - Amanda Quinne

Even if you're diagnosed with diabetes, you're still you. The way we approach and manage diabetes helps shape who you are.

There's so much more to you than your conditions. 💙

Motivational Monday: Make This Journey A Positive One

“Living with diabetes is a journey, and I choose to make it a positive one.” - Rick M. Shivers

Living with diabetes is tough; however, we have the power to choose how we travel this road.

I'd like to see it be a positive experience where we learn, grow, and persevere from the challenges we face daily while we can also lean on a community that knows what we're going through.

Motivational Monday: We Are Not Victims!

I am not a victim of diabetes, I am a fighter and a survivor. – Tate Andrews

I wanted to remind you today we aren't victims of diabetes. We're survivors and fighters. Every day, we decide to manage our conditions as best as we can, seeking support and help as needed. We won't get ideal blood sugar numbers every day, but we'll keep trying. And that's how we fight and survive!

Motivational Monday: One Day at a Time

“One day at a time with diabetes.” - Michael Kiser

Managing diabetes is a very challenging task. Diabetes is a long-term disease. We have a lot to monitor, including our food intake, our medication dosages, how much physical activity we do, and managing stress, but you don't have to do all these things at once. Focus on one goal until you reach it, then move on to another. The best way to manage diabetes in the long run is to take things one day at a time.

Quick Tip Thursday: Focus on One Diabetes Task at a Time

Did you know that multitasking can slow you down? In fact, studies show that it can lead to more mistakes in the long run. Our brains work best when we focus on one task at a time. Make a list of all of your diabetes-related tasks for the day. Then, pace yourself by working on and crossing off each task off one at a time.
