What has your health taught you about love?

Every year around Valentine’s Day, Mighty staffer @sparklywartanks reflects on what love really means to her. Having experienced a lot of rejection in the past, she’s often met with heartbreak, grief, and sadness around this time.

This year, though, she wants to reflect on how much effort she’s put into developing a better understanding of love—not only in the romantic sense, but as an energy and a practice. Her relationship with herself, as a person in recovery, hasn’t always been bright. But she has created more light by learning to love herself unconditionally, even through the darkest moments.

She’ll never give up on herself—and love has taught her that.

What about you? What has your health taught you about love?

How can someone else support you when you feel stressed?

Support can be a game-changer in times of stress. What we feel is too much to handle alone can be a totally different experience when someone else is helping out.

If you were in a tough situation and felt stressed, what are some things others can do to support you?

Mighty staffer @sparklywartanks says that when she feels stressed, someone simply checking in and offering her favorite snack can help her to take a moment to herself to gain some energy to keep moving forward.

Friendly reminder: It’s OK to ask for help, especially when you feel overwhelmed and burned out.

What’s a fear you want to overcome?

Fears can develop or resurface for many different reasons and at various points in our lives. Identifying, acknowledging, processing, and eventually overcoming them can take time, patience, self-awareness, and practice. That doesn’t mean the fear won’t come up again—but responding to it with more confidence, care, and compassion when it does is also part of overcoming it.

What’s a fear you want to overcome—or are currently working through? What would overcoming that fear look like for you?

What boundaries do you practice to stay on top of burnout and stress?

One thing about burnout is that it can feel like a tornado or fast-moving spiral once it has settled in. One way we can prevent that spiral from taking its course is by setting up boundaries so that we prioritize self-care way before reaching our limits.

Mighty staffer @sparklywartanks says she always has to make sure she rests after a long work day and eats a big breakfast to start off her day. Energy is so important!

When panic starts rising, this simple focus trick can calm your mind in seconds.

Racing thoughts and panic often pull the mind into the future or the past, which makes anxiety feel stronger. Grounding techniques work by bringing attention back to the present moment where the body can calm itself naturally. Focusing fully on a physical object engages the senses and interrupts spiraling thoughts without forcing relaxation. Over time, practicing this skill builds emotional regulation and makes stressful situations easier to handle. Have you ever tried grounding your attention like this when anxiety starts rising?
