I had a conversation with a woman who doesn’t understand the awesomeness of boundaries.
I sent her the meme about those people for whom I have room in my life. She said it was so very selfish.
I felt sad. Not for me but for her. If a person lets anyone nilly willy into their lives, one can end up putting small fires out, being exhausted and in deep need of self care.

This week has been heavy. I feel like we all could use some self care. So what do you need today? You can pick as many as you want or add your own. I am going with hugs, yummy food and a basket of kittens. Maybe some Céline Dion music to chill by. And...I'm sending virtual hugs to each and every one of you today. That's a lot of hugs!!!
Maybe you will allow yourself to rest without guilt when your body has reached its limits. Or perhaps you will listen to some funny podcasts and give yourself a break from the news. What will you do to give yourself some “me” time and honor your needs this weekend?

Talking about your needs may not exactly be the “easiest” conversation but it can be easier to talk about with certain people. Maybe you have a sibling or close friend you trust. Or maybe that person is your partner if you’re in a relationship. Share with us who you trust to have these conversations with.
