Hello, guys. As an autistic person, I found out that expressing your needs can be a bit painful when you feel insecure about the person listening to them, whether they're willing to be of help.

What do you need today?

This week has been heavy. I feel like we all could use some self care. So what do you need today? You can pick as many as you want or add your own. I am going with hugs, yummy food and a basket of kittens. Maybe some Céline Dion music to chill by. And...I'm sending virtual hugs to each and every one of you today. That's a lot of hugs!!!

Who is it easy to talk about your needs with? #52SmallThings

Talking about your needs may not exactly be the “easiest” conversation but it can be easier to talk about with certain people. Maybe you have a sibling or close friend you trust. Or maybe that person is your partner if you’re in a relationship. Share with us who you trust to have these conversations with.

Bonus: If you’re able to, share who you struggle opening up to about your needs and what you’d like to do to change that.

Myths about Relationship in Isolation

- If someone cares about you, they will want to spend all of their time with you.

- If you love each other, your partner should be able to know all of your needs during isolation.
