I post a lot on my reddit account but here's a recent update haha! It's been a rough week for me but I'm happy to still be here! 😁

    Contraceptive Pill

I’ve had to go on the pill instead of my normal injection due to the current situation with the virus. Usually the injection helps my pain which is a massive benefit as it brings my pain levels down from a normal 8 to a normal 6! But after 2 and a half weeks, it’s clear the pill doesn’t do this. Also it makes me feel unbelievably sad all the time and I’ve been crying a lot. Originally I was told if it didn’t do the same as the injection then they would switch me back as it’s exceptional circumstances but when I rang the doctor, he said I wasn’t allowed the injection and I’d have to put up with the side effects until things are back to normal. He didn’t care that I was suicidal, just said it’s all hormonal. Which I know but that doesn’t help my mental health at all. Anyone else experienced this? Or been denied treatment due to the current pandemic? #Pill #COVID19 #Ehlers -danlos #EhlersDanlosSyndrome #HypermobileTypeEDS #hypermobileehlers-DanlosSyndrome(hEDS) #HypermobilitySyndrome #Injections #Depression #Anxiety #MentalHealth

Does anyone else faint with #botox for #Migraine?

Every time I get botox for my chronic migraines, I pass out. I’m not particularly anxious about it but I keep fainting every time after the first 15 or so shots. It makes me feel really nauseous and awful and it’s by far the most stressful part of the whole process. How can I avoid having this reaction? Any tips? #Fainting #Injections

Has the contraceptive injection helped anyone’s pain levels? I’m sure I’m better after I’ve had it and I go downhill about 3 weeks before I renew it!

I had to delay it for a month and I had a flare the whole time which went as soon as I got it. I had it yesterday and although my hip hurts from the actual injection, my other joints feel pretty good and I slept better than I have in the past month!
    Just wondered if others have experienced this? I have fibromyalgia and Ehlers Danlos 😊 #Contaception #Injections #Fibromyalgia #EhlersDanlosSyndrome #Painsomnia #Pain #ChronicIllness #PainMedication #FlareUps

Government cuts funding for pain clinics.

The Ontario, Canada government has decided, in all its wisdom, to reduce visits to pain clinics to 4 times a year, not to cover injection medications, and to phase out and close all pain clinics. People who rely on weekly injections (even monthly!!!) will not have access to these medications, nor to the doctors they rely on for any sort of decent quality of life. I have worked hard for 35 years and I shouldn’t have to stop working due to no access to a doctor at a pain clinic. While I understand other countries don’t have the coverage I have had the privilege of having, I choose to live here and pay taxes and have lived my whole life with the expectation that I will have access to the healthcare that I need. I’m so angry. #ChronicIllness #ChronicMigraines #ChronicPain #Fibromyalgia #Injections #qualityoflife
