#strive .

Todays post is called strive .when you have an illness like Cerebral Palsy you always strive to do your best. I've been in Physical Therapy for about two months now and I'm making great strides with the help of Jaclyn .I finally feel like I'm in a great place as far as my Cerebral Palsy is concerned I'm also learning how to use my wheelchair better so that when the time comes when I have to use my wheelchair on a more permanent basis I can get better aquatinted with it . The time will come one day when I will eventually lose all my mobility it's just a known fact that comes along with the trials and tribulations of Cerebral Palsy. I'm not scared of that complication anymore like I once was because I can honestly say that I have truly found acceptance with it now. Im still the same person that I always was whether I'm on my sticks or using my wheels . I truly have found a place of peace when it comes to my Cerebral Palsy.

#strive TO DO YOUR BEST.

This weeks post is called strive to do your best. When you have Cerebral Palsy there is one thing you always try to do and that is strive to do your best. Lucky for me I've always had a lot of family and friends in my corner that always pushed for me to do my best. My new team of doctors make me feel like I'm Destin for great things and they always make me feel like I can accomplish anything. I don't know what the future has in-store for me as far as my Cerebral Palsy is concerned but what ever comes my way I'm ready for it. Final thought. My goal in life is to always strive to do my best and to never let any obstacles get in my way whatever they maybe and you can too. keep on striveing

There's ̶b̶e̶a̶u̶t̶y̶  strength in the  ̶p̶a̶i̶n̶  survival

When I was a kid
My chest would fill
With intense pain
Every time I ran.

When I was fourteen
I got dizzy
And saw colours
Every prolonged stand

When I was fifteen
My fingers bent
Past normal and
I loved this misdeed.

Now I am sixteen
My chest fills
With intense pain
Regardless of speed.

(Costochondritis.)

I get dizzy
And see colours
Every time I stand.

(Orthostatic Hypotension.)

My body aches
And bends to lengths
Most can't understand.

(Undiagnosed.)

I never knew
I could survive such pain,
Going day after day
Feeling mostly the same.
And for this,
They give me pity
Because they see not
Where I see beauty.
They see broken hearts
And shattered dreams,
Not the ashes
Where fire starts
And where hope gleams.
Not for me,
But for humanity.
This slight synecdoche
Displays the cores of
Human sanity:
Our resilience
Determination
Ceaseless pliantness
And strong ambition.
We stop at nothing
To stay alive
We keep going,
Continue to strive.

When I Reminisce

Life and its levels.
Beginnings were hard,
nothing was beveled—

mirror into shards.
Made it out alive
though I played dealt cards.

Adulthood. I strive.
Through education
I believe I’ll thrive.

No, evolution
in and of itself
is my solution.
