Does anyone know of anything to lower cortisol? I'm try to reduce stress wondering about vitamins or herbal supplements?

I have had a lot of things happen in a cluster. My Father passed, then 6 months later my Mother was diagnosed with cancer. I was her caregiver for 3 and 1/2 years before she passed away. 3 weeks before my Mom passed away my fiance broke things off with me. He and I were living together on his Dad's farm taking care of the horses and other animals, thankfully I still had my place that my son and his fiance and my grandson was staying in and was able to move back in there. Then things snowballed after my Mother's passing and I ended up losing that home and a lot of bad stressful things happened. Too much to share here and I have gained so much weight and I just made the connection at the doctor's office on my last visit and she agreed but was no help. Wouldn't do any blood work to help me. She is a new doctor and I'm looking for a new one because of other reasons but that didn't help. But I fill like my fight or flight gas pedal is floored and I can't get it unstuck. I've been doing #deepbreathing #Meditation #Exercise walking.

How many minutes a day do y’all exercise deep breathing?

Challenged by high levels of anxiety, I’ve learned to appreciate deep breathing. With Coronavirus mentioned all day and all night, which can cause anxiety, deep breathing may not be something we want to hear about. I’m blessed thus far to not have symptoms. However, #deepbreathing has its benefits.

bad day #Rage #Depression #BipolarDisorder #Anxiety

I’m sitting in the car yelling (it’s parked)! I hate days like this, where any little inconvenience turns into a big deal and just fills me with rage. I need like a kickboxing class or something. And before someone comments I am #deepbreathing

Being kind to myself

It’s PMS time, and it’s not always the easiest for some women (or the men around them...LOL). But I’ve been extra kind in not pushing myself too hard in working out and giving myself a little more downtime than usual. It’s because I can feel the anxiety/overwhelm growing when I’ve been trying to get too much do at a time, and it seems amplified a bit around the few days before my period. So slowing down and taking long deep belly breaths helps me to feel grounded. I tune into what is happening in my body—oh its my PMS again. I also tell myself that this too shall pass, to be okay with not getting it all done right away, and I’m doing the best I can. Remember to love and approve of yourself no matter what!
