Spent 12 hrs in the ER for a allergic reaction to something.
Have no idea what.
I have allergies but can't figure out what caused this. So they gave me steroids among other stuff. That caused my already high blood glucose to go higher so they had to get me insulin. Ugh. They send me home still itchy and with levels at 300 with more steroids. Told me to just eat and drink carefully.
Now I have a follow up with my Doctor in a week and a Headache from being in the loud, overcrowded ,expensive and mostly unhelpful hallway(yep not even a room) .
At least it wasn't the psych ward which I have PTSD from .
Hopefully I don't need to go back.
I dislike the system and chronic disease.
Ok rant over.
I am going to Sleep

What are easy digestable foods/resources for someone with chronic constipation and stomach pain?

I have #ComplexRegionalPainSyndrome (CRPS) and a host of other health issues. My main question is related to constipation. I have SEVERE constipation (I have a heavy regimen of miralax, benefiber, Linzess that my doctor is monitoring/prescribing) and I tried every laxative/natural therapy under the sun before I started seeing a GI. I’m on a lot of medications for nerve pain and allergic reactions which contribute to the underlying constipation. Doctors haven’t been able to determine if it’s IBS-C, slow transit constipation, gastroparesis, or a mix. I’m on a high salt diet and a steroid due to #Dysautonomia and I drink a LOT of water. I’m desperately in need of foods that are easy to digest, as I’m in a lot of pain. Most options I’ve found online are loaded in fiber, which my doctor said not to overdue because of the nausea, bloating, has, pain, distention, heatburn, reflux, etc. If anyone has any recommendations to manage this I would greatly appreciate it. I’m pending GI testing after I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted and come off the opioids. (If anyone is wondering why they can’t/won’t do testing to confirm diagnosis yet.)

Sorry for the long post- but any recommendations for foods would be greatly appreciated!!#ComplexRegionalPainSyndrome #Dysautonomia #Gastroparesis #constipation #IrritableBowelSyndromeIBS #ChronicPain #allergicreaction #nervepain #spinalcordstimulator #Food

Has anyone ever experienced severe allergic reactions due to fumes of something being cooked in your home or residence without eating it?

When my roommates cook a specific food, I end up having a severe reaction. I get throat closing sensations, extreme mucous production, nausea and vomiting, itchy skin, trouble breathing, and a whole slew of other symptoms. I saw doctors who thought I was crazy or who wrote off my experiences despite them resulting in me passing out and getting closer to a point of no return than I'd ever hope to be. Studies say fumes from foods can cause anaphylaxis. #Anaphylaxis #allergy #Asthma #Food #reaction #believepatients #sensitivity #SensoryOverload #allergicreaction #ChronicIllness #whoknew
