Ive not been on here in a while .Since march I have long term catheterised which has caused so many issues,non stop hospital stays which along the way now dealing with other problems.Mentally I am so drained I feel miserable that I'm not who I was 9 months ago,I can barely do anything.ive become basically house bound and most days the pain stops me even doing simple daily tasks.i feel like such a failure as a mum and as me in general .I hate seeing myself in the mirror now with cathter, more scars from the skin cancer biopsies,having to use walking aid due to the spinal issues & pain I just hate what I see and what i am now.But I'm so fed up feeling this way and I try so hard but each day between pain and everything going on my aims to try and feel better seem to just completely become non existent.....

Today I woke up with bladder pain. Nothing too unusual given that I have #InterstitialCystitis and a prolapsing bladder. I went to work and I started peeing blood. Not normal. Actually scary. Haven’t had that happen before. Called urology. They said to go urgent for a urinalysis. They found large amounts of blood and protein and sent me to the ER. The ER doctor decided it was an infection. But my urine tests were not conclusive. My WBC was 247 normal range is 0-10. But there was no major sign of infection. Sent home with antibiotics and told to take pyridium and pain meds and to call urology. I was flabbergasted that I was discharged with high urine protein and blood. It feels like the doctor just didn’t know and didn’t want to deal with a complicated case but gave me antibiotics to cover themselves. I’m home with a heating pad trying to rest. The doctor said it may be your prolapse. It may be your IC. It may be infection but we don’t know. I hate when doctors don’t even try. Now I have to wait till at least Monday for my normal urologist to read these tests. So I just sit and wait in pain. Hey there. So, I’ve been prone to having urine infections since I was 8 years old. I have a condition called Interstitial Cystitis. I’m 100% certain that I currently have a UTI but tomorrow I have a hospital appointment that will last all day and then I’ll have no access to a doctor, nurse or antibiotics until Monday.

I’m drinking as much water as I can. it currently feels like my urethra is getting pricked with a sharp needle over and over again and my bladder won’t stop spasming. I should say now, I cannot have cranberry juice.
