Being Common, Being Famous, the Past Life & the Real Life

Being Common, Being Famous, the Past Life & the Real Life - #DwhellOnIt Episode 64

📺 - tinyurl.com/2p988rxn

🗣 - "Sure, there are #trans #individuals who had their sex assigned at birth by a doctor who has never known them. And accepted by people who assumed they knew what was best for you. And then followed office administrators #stamping papers and typing on keyboards. Assigning a gender identity to someone who never even had a voice in things, let alone having a voice, period. And then, #saying , 'No, my gender identity does not align with my sex assigned at birth.' Thanks for that, by the way, everybody."

Any other trans spoonies out there?

For context I'm a trans spoonie (they/them/nekm) struggling with chronic pain, fatigue, hypermobility, endo, IBS, possibly dysautonomia, and depression/anxiety. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a community or support group (either on the mighty or elsewhere) for chronically ill trans folks?

I'd especially love to connect with other trans folks navigating diagnosis, pain management, fatigue management, medical ptsd, transphobia, HRT, etc

PS please enjoy this picture of my cats - they're helping me look! 😺😺

5 years on #HRT

5 years on Testosterone, and many more years to go

This simple medication really helped my self image, my confidence, gave me changes that I love and some changes that I didn't like but can live with, it's such a simple thing that brings me the much needed changes that I needed for my outward appearance to match how I feel inside.

I started living life more authentically when I stopped having to worry about my voice, started fitting in more men's clothes in average sizes, started gaining muscles in places I didn't know existed, being able to not experience a menstrual cycle anymore, and just overall seeing the Masculine changed take place on my body.

This took me 6 years to get prescribed and the last 5 years have been worth the effort.

Hormones Replacement Therapy is one of the many ways that gender affirming care is crucial to someone and can make their quality of life so much better.

Not everyone wants to be on HRT and that's ok, that still does not invalidate their experiences as a trans/gender non conforming/non-binary person.

This is just my experience only.

I have #Bipolar2Disorder and recently got another #Concussion . It’s been about 4 days since diagnosed and am suddenly having bad #Mania + #Insomnia .

I got increased on my sleep med, from a psychiatrist after one of the two falls I had, not aware I had a #Concussion . I was experiencing some increased #Mania . At first everything was just concussion symptoms besides that. Went to ER, was told I definitely had a concussion for sure. Started the med increase and started having visual distortion for a few days after diagnosis. Mania died down. But the concussion symptoms seemed to have been getting better and now I’m having crazy more than normal amounts of #Mania and #Insomnia along with trouble breathing. I was tested for #COVID19 and came back negative. But there have been people recently in our apartment not properly wearing masks and I did sort of fall again today while bathing. I’m also on #HRT for my #GenderDysphoria and the #testosterone might be why I feel like I’m having trouble breathing because stuff is developing. The mania is not horrendous but I am not sleeping and hyper. I don’t know what to do. Anyone have tips or suggestions or has been through similar situations?
