So often, we get caught up in fighting our thoughts. We try pushing away negativity, overanalyzing emotions, or forcing ourselves to “think positive.” But true peace comes not from controlling the mind, but from observing it without judgment. Instead of resisting anxious or intrusive thoughts, try simply noticing them as if they were passing clouds in the sky. Acknowledge their presence, but remember that you are not your thoughts; you are the observer behind them. Practicing this mindset through mindfulness or meditation can help you develop a sense of inner calm and clarity, allowing thoughts to come and go without overwhelming you.
How do you practice observing your thoughts without judgment? Share your experience below and let’s support each other on this journey of awareness.
Also, I make mental health video responses to many of your questions. The latest one is about how to beat mental fog with the 10-10-10 Rule! The lesson is about the importance of taking breaks, looking away from your screen, and making sure you get fully recharged.
