I believe in God but I disagree with what some of the Bible says, read below and comment if you agree

Like it says in the Bible God looks at our hearts and not our outward appearance. To be honest I think pretty people get way more in life than people who are not good looking to society. Celebrities are extremely good looking and some of them do bad things but they believe in God too and some actually get away with it that is just my opinion. It’s really unfair the way the world is and where is God in this world anyways? People die of suicide every year!

Post-traumatic stress disorder and sleep

#Insomnia #CBT #PTSD

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) is characterized by a chronically heightened state of arousal after a traumatic event. PTSD often gets worse over time or develops insidiously, so that people may not realize they have it until many months after the traumatic event. The disease is more common in women, though it can happen to anybody. An estimated seven people out of 100 will experience PTSD during their lifetime.

PTSD and sleep have a complex relationship. Though sleep problems accompany many mental health conditions, sleep problems in PTSD are actually considered part of the disorder. Among the symptoms used to diagnose PTSD, two are directly related to sleep: hyperarousal and intrusion, which can manifest as insomnia and nightmares. Researchers are still trying to understand whether sleep problems precede PTSD or whether PTSD causes sleep problems.

Individuals with PTSD frequently have trouble falling asleep and awaken easily, often waking up many times throughout the night. Many people with PTSD also have nightmares. These issues result in disrupted, non-refreshing sleep.

Those with chronic pain, substance abuse, traumatic brain injury, depression or other medical problems face an additional barrier to getting quality sleep. Certain sleep medications also interfere with REM sleep, which is the sleep stage during which we dream and an important sleep stage for dealing with traumatic memories.

A post of gratitude…

I’m grateful for finding groups and sites such as this one. Grateful to find people that understand what it’s like to be in that constant internal conflict between under and overstimulated. I am an HSP/HSS, amongst other things, and I continually find MySelf trying to steady between Being “not enough” and “too much” for the world around Me, while seeking My perfect balance internally.

I, like most here, have a great many interests, and feelings about those interests. Every last one of them. So many feelings. I’m grateful to find space with others here who also aspire to find their perfect blend of balance. Looking forward to interacting more with everyone.

May all be well.

May all be safe.

May all be free from suffering and harm.

May all be joyFull and at ease.

🙏🏽✨

I’m new here!

Hi, my name is bella22722.

#MightyTogether #Depression . I have been on antidepressants for 50 years. I am so codependent that I am tired of life. I am overwhelmed & can't focus long enough to complete any project I start. My son, who is 43, has a TBI from an accident 4 years aworriedgo. He received a settlement 4 months ago which was supposed to last the rest of his life. It is gone after 4 months. I am worried all the time. I am a Christian & I tried to turn my son's life over to God, but I just can't stop crying which is so unlike me. I am trying to find help, but I am not having any luck.

My brain injury kept giving

What can I say? It took me 4 days to be brave enough to able to share
recent life experience here in Lone Tree, Colorado. My life took a serious turn for the worse and I’m not having any fun. Wishing I could be outside and play-but no. Instead I have heavy track marks on my arms from a few billion ivs.
I went head to head with a #Stroke but I’m too stubborn to let it win when it teamed up with my #TBI to double my fun. The experience damn near killed me. Good thing I have a great night nurse from Tibet that has a my back totally #grateful for her awesome care and a breakfast burrito with green chili to get and keep me fired up.
Getting tired waiting for my sleep medication to be delivered tonight after 3 to 6hours of butt kicking therapy a day. This morning I had to stand on a ball that looks like the planet Saturn to balance on while playing catch with a beach ball without crashing. Kinda impressed my 63 year old brain but don’t tell my PT, ST. and Ot team or they will up the ante. I need video of this stupid human trick to show off my lost talent. Have a great day.

I'm new here!

Hi, my name is JoyRussell0318. I've been diagnosed with MS recently. My Brain MRI showed this disease in 2018 but hospital didn't refer me to a neurologist. I was hit in the head by a parking garage arm and that MRI in 2024 is how I discovered my disease as I was being treated for TBI. I'm already feeling symptoms progressing just months after my diagnosis in March 2024. I lost my fav sister in Dec 2021 to MS. I know what to expect but I want to prepare for an independent life and need some guidance with treatments, wholistic avenues and locoate a support group to feel educated in this process. Also, I was in the military so also suffer with PTSD and grief issues.

Messing stuff up

#PostconcussionSyndrome

Well messed something important up again. Think I see one thing but it is another. I check, later it is still wrong. I am 5 years post tbi, and still living my same life...sort of, shadow of it anyway. I don't know anything else and can't learn something all new, not without a lot of time and help. I think I should never work on important things, only simple things, but yet here I am still pretending like I can do these things. I am untrustworthy. No judgement in that, it is just simply true. If I stop doing anything important where does that leave me? How do you change your whole life when you can't figure out how? My socks match today, still living the life I knew.
