#Weekend #Nature #Springtime #Seasons #Hugs

Enjoy your weekend whatever you’re plans maybe.
I have woken up feeling really anxious and feel like something bad is about to happen!
I had a panic attack at 6:30am so planning?!?!?!
Am i the only one who gets anxiety, Am i overthinking it, Am i going to be okay?!?!?

Now i need the energy to even put the kettle on; i’m drained and i feel dry from the inside out, my throat is hurting so it could be the start of a flu or something. I know after i have my mid morning cuppa or 3 i may feel a little bit better 🗣️💪💥 and if not; im going to colour today, maybe write while i’m in my deep intrusive thoughts, something or nothing?!?!? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤔😕🤷🏿‍♂️😐🤔🤷😐😕🤔

It's been worth it.

Having a child finish college is one of the most fulfilled events I have ever experienced. When she first began as a freshman 3 hours away from home, she would only call to talk if she needed money or something requiring money or anything else. That first year she was fiercely independent and didn't feel a need to communicate with home any more than the bare minimum. As she matriculated she slowly began reaching out for emotional support and simply called to pass the time in pleasant conversation. When she graduated in May 2022 she was a completely different being than the freshman that was dropped off a mere weeks after graduating from high school. I became a safe place over the years and my persistence in loving her even when she was a wart was really paying off. The picture attached is her dedication of her college education to me. To tell you my throat got stuck when I read it is an understatement. She had noticed my quiet and ongoing support and I had made a difference. Sometimes there are rewards to be had in the difficulty of parenting a child and being an example rather than a brick wall she was bashing her head into. #parenthood #rewards #collegelife #Seasons #rewards

Winters passing

As I look out of my window, I take special notice to the falling snow blowing in the wind. Light and airy, just big enough flakes to be noticed but not big enough yet to begin any real accumulation. Its the kind of day where a warm coffee, soft music and a good book could touch your soul.

That is why, on this particular winter day, I decided to pick up my journal ive yet to write in in so long. Its been months since I have, to the point that not only was it a literal different season, but it was a different season of my life. I call this new chapter 'Winters Passing'. I haven't wrote much today, but the fact of the matter us that I did. Its something. Its small, but just like snow, enough little things can cover mountains.

Happy potluck day #Friends #Cooking #Sharing #Seasons

Thank you Michell and Rhonda for being such great hosts. I really enjoy sharing and seeing what others cook.

So it’s spring for me and I’m posting a really yummy cold dessert.

Pavlova. It’s a bit of a traditional dessert eaten here in warmer weather. Here’s the recipe.

3 egg whites, 3 tablespoons cold water, 1 cup caster sugar, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, 3 teaspoons cornflour.
Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Beat egg whites until stiff, add water and beat again. Add sugar very gradually while still beating. Slow beater and add vinegar, vanilla and cornflour. Line an oven tray with baking paper. Spoon mixture onto baking paper about the size of a medium plate. Bake for 45 minutes then leave to cool in the oven. When cooled, transfer to a plate, cover with whipped cream and fruit. Cut, refrigerate and enjoy. It resembles a meringue crust with marshmallow inside. And it’s so delicious.

It can be rejuvenating to spend some time outside, don’t you agree? This week’s theme is all about nature and getting outdoorsy. To kick off our challenges for this week, we’d love to know what your ultimate favorite season is. Comment with the emoji that represents the season you love the most:

My socks Day 13: Seasons #Depression #MentalHealth

I love these socks. They remind me of seasons. Contrary to what a wonderful girl at Florida thought, Australia does have seasons, four of them. So does life. As I look back on my “winters” they have been profoundly painful, yet, so beautiful in their clarity and so full of life lessons.

Here are the lyrics to a song I hold onto closely in my Winter seasons. It’s called, “Seasons of the soul”

As the ashen skies of summer, give way to autumns cold and all signs of life are buried under winters dormant cold.

Till the kiss of spring awakens the hidden life it holds so life fulfils its cycle, such are the seasons of the soul.

A season in the rain will end at last, the season full of pain will surely pass.
The reason will be plain someday when love reveals its goal, such are the seasons of the soul.

Oh you'll never dreamed you'll be here oh you're sure this can't be right and you feel you've been forgotten, left alone here in the night, but the darkness holds a treasure forming diamonds from the coal.
So pain contains a promise, such are the seasons of the soul.

A season in the rain will end at last, a season full of pain will surely pass.
The reason will be plain someday when love reveals its goal such are the seasons of the soul.

Like a child in the womb. Like the Son of God concealed within the tomb.
Light will come, once again. Oh the dark is the middle, not the end.

A season in the rain will end at last, a season full of pain will surely pass
The reason will be plain someday when love reveals its goal such are the seasons of the soul.

Beauty in the seasons #Depression #Anxiety #PTSD

I walked out of my door today and looked across and was struck by the beauty of the leaf carpet. I love Autumn. It’s cold without being freezing. There is colour everywhere. Seasons of life can be difficult, yet there is beauty there, just sometimes it’s not always obvious.

What beauty can you see around you now?
