What phone call have you been putting off?

A little louder for the people in the back: Phone calls are tough! And unfortunately, when you live with a bunch of health conditions, the phone calls are even more important and plentiful it seems. And there are a lot of things that contribute to that. How long will the phone call last? Do you know the person? Are you fearful of being misunderstood? Does it drain your limited energy reserves? Does brain fog make it really difficult to communicate succintly?

Mighty staffer @xokat has a Ph.D. in avoiding phone calls. She really needs to call and reschedule her upcoming dermatology appointment but she just can’t get her brain to do it. 😭 What about you? What phone call do you need to make that you just haven’t been able to yet?

☎️ P.S. For anyone who struggles with phone anxiety, we’ve got a whole collection of stories just for you: #Anxiety

In just a week Lil Rosie will be 5! The perfect fun sassy best buddy a girl could ever have!

When we got her I was more depressed than ever. Immediately we saw how much good she could bring to my life. She has been with me through so much already. Having her beside me makes the world a much brighter place!

Unlike most small dogs, Rosie doesn't bark or bite or nip. She is a quiet little thing though she LOVES to groan out her distress-it is hilarious!

When we got her she never wagged her tail though she did spin when she was happy. Now we have brought happiness and love in her life, her whole booth wiggles in happiness!! It is the most adorable funny thing!

She is the BEST!!!

WE LOVE YOU ROSIE!!!!!

Yet another early morning

Woke up at 6am with some mild tummy pains. I've peed a kajillion times already. I am struggling with some gender dysphoria and my girlfriend has been very supportive. I hate my chest and I hate having to care for it. But not caring for it leads to things like infected zits and heat rash. And I have a large mole on my left boob. It's growing kinda fast. It's doubled in size over the last 5 years. I've had it all my life. My girlfriend is concerned and wants me to go see my dermatologist for removal of the growth. The last time I saw my dermatologist I mentioned it and she said it would be difficult to remove the whole thing and it would require stitches. Fun times.

What was the last milestone you celebrated?

A milestone is technically defined as “an action or event marking a significant change or stage in development.” In society these days, we tend to apply it to human development and big life events like graduation, marriage, starting a new career, or having children. But at The Mighty? Milestones look a lot different.

Today we want to celebrate all the stuff others don’t — your first day of sobriety, seeing the bottom of your kitchen sink in the first time in a while, successful (or newly implemented) sleep hygiene, or finding a doctor who actually listened to your concerns.

Ready to celebrate? 👏 👏 👏 — those are for you!
